(Wow I'm the worst at updating! Yikes... But here is a chapter after an entire week. Hopefully turns out good.)

She was holding the tears as she run down the road. When she finally reached her neighborhood she stopped. She knew her dad was there but she needed some time alone. She wasn't ready to talk. She was scared.

She hesitantly entered the house closing the door behind her.
"Cassandra Hart where the hell have you been? You were supposed to be home 2 hours ago!" Her dad's stern voice echoed through the  house. He sighed waiting for Cassandra's reply.
"I am sorry dad. I just-"
"You just what Cassandra? You know I am worried about you. Do you want me to have a heart attack?"
"Dad n-no. Mrs Fannings just wanted to talk to me after school and ..." She needed to make up a good lie. She had to lie to her dad. If he knew what happened earlier he would have killed Michael already.

She started talking trying to gain some more time to think and make up a lie. Her dad noticed the visible bruises that had formed on her wrist. He walked up to her and gently took her wrist on his hand.
"Who did this to you?" He kept his head down, examining the blue bruises.
"Dad no one. It's just... N-nothing. I ... I hurt my wrist in gym class. That's all."
"Cassandra. Tell me the truth. Now!" Cassandra looked up to her dad. And kept repeating the same lie.
"Dad I told you the truth."

It took her half an hour to persuade him that it was nothing more. Little did he know... Cassandra fell on her bed, not bothering to change out off her outfit. A mix of lavender and paint hit her nostrils as she slowly drifted to sleep. She let herself calm down, she let herself cry quietly so her overprotective dad wouldn't hear her. She was finally asleep, dreaming.

Luke forced his books in his locker. He noticed Cassandra next to him. He noticed how awfully pale and sad she looked, but he didn't bother to help her. He had his own problems. He was too tired to care. His mind was a mess, his stomach filled with useless pills but he didn't care. No not anymore. He just walked off. Simple as that.

The girl saw him walking away. She felt relieved he didn't ask any questions. A raspy voice interrupted her thoughts. She recognized immediately that voice. Calum Hood.
"Good morning Cass" he went to lean on her locker and he almost fell down. He was still dizzy from the toxins that filled that blood in his veins.
"I don't get a good morning? What? Are you afraid of me?" He chuckled deeply.
"I told you I'm not afraid." She stated
"That's right. You told me but you didn't prove anything yet. But that could get fixed..."

Suddenly his hands were on her waist pulling her closer. Their breaths became one, but she pushed him away.
"I'm not proving you anything"
"Cause you're afraid. You're a coward"
"I am n-"

Green eyes met. He stood there glancing at Cassandra. "Michael" she thought. She knew he would think that she told Calum.
"You can't even say it." Calum laughed at her.
"I need to go"

People started walking up and down to the corridors. Cassandra followed Michael. She needs to explain to him. She can't let him do that to her again.

"Cassandra!"
