Worth it...

"No."
"But love?"
"No. Please stay."

Dear Diary, today is the best birthday I've ever had in my life. Ate Pat told me that we will shoot a Moddess commercial in Boracay. At first I thought, why Boracay? But hey, it's near the beach. Did you know that I missed the beach a lot?

This time, I really wanted to go to the beach with Richard. My better person. Who would have thought upon arrival in our hotel. He is just there, waiting for me.

I was really ecstatic, surprise after surprise, he spoiled me with his time, effort, and love. Ito pala nagagawa ng apat araw na pagtatampo ko sa kanya? Magtampo pa kaya ako? Char.

This day is so worth it. Without Jenny in sight, we did whatever we want without limits of the spotlight.

I don't want this day to end.

But a while ago..

"Happy, my love?" He speaks as I cuddle with him on the sands.
"Yes, definitely. Thank you, mahal. Sobra."
"Love, pwede ba tayong magusap?" He's tensed as he say this.
"Anything."
"I have to go back to Manila in an hour."
"Huh? Wait. Bakit?" It has alarmed me and I immediately untangle myself to him.
"Alam mo naman, family."

Tears started to form in my eyes. It is not because I am disappointed, but I just don't want this day to end.

"No." I said with conviction.
"But love?"
"No. please stay."
"Love, alam mo naman gusto ko rin yan. Makasama ka habambuhay di ba?"
"Eh bat ka aalis?"
"Pupuntahan ko birthday ni kuya RD at grad celebration ni Rizza. Pamilya mo na rin sila. At ayoko maisyu ka ng mga bashers sa social media, okay lang ako ang mabash basta wag ikaw." I cannot win this.
"..."

He was right. I had my moment, a moment that is worthy of a lifetime. He loved me so much that he cleared his schedule for me. I love him with all my heart and I don't want to cause any harm.

"Sige. Ingat ka ah"

He wiped away my tears and kissed me. His kiss is so sweet and pure. Di nakakasawa kahit kotang-kota na siya sa akin haha. He bid his farewell and packed up his things.

5:46 pm:

I checked my Instagram notification and I saw that he tagged me on a post.

"Worth it..."

I smiled and I knew I must comment on this. "Balik ka na pls #imeanyoucould"

I wanted him to stay. I really do. I can't wait to share my forever with him. He is more than perfect. As I close my puffy eyes, I know that is love. Why? Reality is finally better than my dreams.

7:47 pm:

Before I close my eyes, I caught glimpse of the ring he gave me yesterday. Who would have thought he is so serious with me? All my life, my heart was broken to pieces twice making me fear of falling in love. Until that fateful 16th day of July came.

It happened so fast that I was astounded when he just "proposed" to me on a national TV and he is willing to wait for me.

As I close my eyes, I clasped the ring with a smile and mumbled a little prayer for my dearest Richard

"Five years. Wait for me."
