The past always hunts you down

"Sweety, are you okay? You look pale." Ma asked with concern.

"Uh I'm fine, ma" I replied while sitting for breakfast.

In the corner of my eyes, I could see Ethan entering the dining room. He took a seat beside me while smiling at me and I looked at him with wide eyes and an opened mouth. There was a red mark on his neck. What the hell! Have I done that to him? Oh lord kill me right now!

"What happened babe? Have you seen something on my neck? You didn't expect that right?" He said and smirked. I glared at him and turned away quickly. I could feel my cheek becoming red. Why am I blushing? I had never ever blushed before. God! I really need to get out of here.

As I was going to rise up from my chair, my parents-in-law made their entry making me sit back down.
"I need to talk to you both" Xavier said.

I looked at Ethan only to have him shrug at me.
"Tonight there is an event where there will be other businessmen and as some of them were asking about my son, I want you both to accompany me."Xavier stated.

"Okay dad, we'll be there." Ethan answered.

"Oh did I mentioned that there will be the media there, meaning you both will be seen on magazines etc" Xavier added making me drop my pancake in the syrup.

"What!! There is no way I'm going in front of these cameras again! They ask too many questions" I argued and Ethan laughed at me.

"It will be alright sweety. You don't need to answer them when you don't want to." Leila said while Xavier looked at me with a sad look.

"Fine. I'll be going only for your sake, dad." I said and Xavier beamed with happiness.

"Sup girl?" Mila asked, leaning on my locker.
"I got to attend an event with my parents-in-law tonight and I'm really nervous and scared. What about ya?" I answered.

"I've to go to my dancing lessons today."

" Oh nice. " I smiled at her while we were walking towards the exit of the building.

"So why you are scared?" She asked.

"I don't know. I have that negative feeling that something would go wrong tonight. Maybe it's because of the paparazzi." I stated.

"Be positive. If you are feeling uncomfortable with these people just raised your head up and walk like a champion and ignore them."

"Yeah but-" I was cut off when I saw Ethan leaning on his car smiling at me while being surrounded by so many girls.

I pushed into the crowd towards my fake husband. I was about to reach him when I felt myself being pushed away and I was going to fall back but I felt an arm snaked around my waist and I'm being pulled towards a hard chest.

Before I knew what was happening, I felt Ethan lips on mine. I was too confused to react so I just stand there in his arms. When he broke the kiss, I avoided all the glares I was obtaining and climbed into the car. I waved at Camilla.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked when I have recovered from the unexpected moment.

"Mom wanted me to fetch you from here." He smiled at me.
