Daddy is back!

I had accompanied my father-in-law to an event as his colleagues wanted to meet both Ethan and me. I had this feeling that something gonna be wrong and here the last person I've ever wanted to see was in front of me.
Why he has to be here?

I ran away from him, my father, towards the nearest exit. My feet started hurting because of the heels. I removed them and continued to walk on the pathway. There is no way I'm going back there.

How is this possible? He can't be here. He hated this country because this is where he met my mother and he even said if it was the last place left in the world, he would prefer to die than be here. Is he here for us?

After such a long time, he was in front of me and I wished I was never there. I hate him so much. I hate that I can't hurt him as he had done to us.

My vision was blurry and I didn't know where I was going until my feet touched something soft. I was on the beach.

The cool breeze was making my hair flew in the air. I shivered as the breeze touched my bare back. Suddenly I felt someone presence behind me and I jumped when a hand grabbed my shoulder. I turned around immediately meeting a pair of blue eyes looking directly into my teary one.

He took off his coat and placed it on my shoulder. My mind was running with my father's thought and I did the thing I never thought I would ever do. I hugged Ethan with all the strength I had and cried. I couldn't control the tears from escaping my eyes. His body tensed at first but then he relaxed and wrapped his arms around me whispering soothing words to me.

"I-I want to go back home" I said while lifting my face from his chest. His shirt was damped of all my tears.

"Okay as you wish, princess." He grabbed my hand and we walked towards the parking lot.

We were walking towards his car when I saw Alex looking at me with a shocked expression. I could feel anger building inside of me. I detached myself from Ethan hold and went towards my boyfriend who had not one but two girls in his arms.

"What the HELL you think you are doing? Why you didn't tell me he is here? Why didn't you inform me my father is here, Alex?" I grabbed his collar and looked him in the eye daring him to answer me. The two girls were looking at me shocked not daring to say a word. I know I look scary when I am angry.

He grabbed my shoulder trying to calm me down.

"Calm down, I'll explain. He doesn't know that you are here." He said calmly. How can be so calm when I'll die as soon as my cruel father notice me?

"He doesn't know yet. What if he had seen me in that party? Why haven't you inform me?" I could see red right now.

"I tried to call you but you were unreachable and I didn't had time to meet you as my dad was always with me and I had to be my old self so that he won't know anything about you." He explained and eyeing the two girls. What does he mean by old self? He was a player before he came here and met me? Arrgh, I don't have time to think about this. Right now I have to get away from here.

I turned around to see Ethan furrowing his eyebrows trying to understand what was happening.

"Just keep me informed when they are going back and why are they here." I let go of him.

"Sure Cendrillion. I promise I won't let your father hurt you." He said while kissing my forehead.

We climbed in the car and I rest my head against the seat. Ethan didn't asked anything during the drive.

When we reached home, Ethan was eyeing me strangely.

"What?" I asked while removing my necklace from my neck.
