I was pulled out of my thought by my phone ringing tone. It was mom calling.

"Hello mom. Are you alright?"

"Tia, I need to talk to you. Can you come home please?"

"Of course mom. I'll be there in some time."

As soon as I cut the phone call, I rushed downstairs only to bump into Ethan.

"Where are you going?" Ethan asked, blocking my way.

"To mom's place. Can you get out of my way please?"

"No because you're not going alone. What if your father tries something? I'm coming with you." He stated.

"You don't need to. Alex will be with me. Thanks." I smiled at him. Does he really care about me? I don't think so.

"Fine!" He step aside letting me run towards the door.

"So why did your mom call you? Is there something serious?" Alex asked as he stopped the car at a red traffic light.

"I don't know. She said she will explain to me at home." I replied while trying to find a good song in the music player. I really need to take off my mind from all these problems that are crashing down on me in one go.

"Just take care. Okay?" I nodded and relaxed as I finally found a nice song.

Finally, we arrived at my mom's place. I was about to get out of the car when I noticed Alex not making a move to get out too.

"Uh are you not coming inside?" I asked him. I thought he would accompany me.

"Actually I have some work. I'm sorry." He looked sad.
"Hey, it's okay. Thanks for dropping me."
"Yeah, take care. I'll see you later." I kissed him and got out of the car.

I waved at him and turned to my mom's house.

I didn't had time to knock at the door, I was pulled inside by my sister and she closed the door immediately.

"Hey, what's wrong with you?" Why was she behaving like this?

"Are you okay? Has dad hurt you?"She asked worriedly.

"No. I'm fine. What about you? Has father come here?"

"No but he called me." Mom replied while entering the living room.

"What did he say?"

"He wants you to save the company."

"I can't do that and if I could save it, I wouldn't do that. He deserves this. Now he is only here for our help. You know what he can go to hell. By the way, don't you think it's time to put that piece of shit in jail?" I was angry. How dare he asked mom's for help after what he had done?

"Tatianna mind your language! He is your father and this company is a memory of our love that I don't want to lose." Mom yelled at me. Wow, it's been so long since mom yelled at me and it's only because of her ex-husband.

"How can you still love someone that hurt you mom? Are you insane? He is not the man you married mom! Your caring husband and my loving dad is dead mom! Don't you remember how he tried to kill you on that day?" I can't understand how she can love someone who wanted to kill her.

"He was the best husband and father Tia but the money and fame ruined everything. It's not his fault." I can't believe her. She lost her mind or what?
