Forbidden And Unexpected, But That's Love

Chapter 10

When they woke up the next morning, they both felt it. The darkness is coming.
"Ben...we need to get through this. This week was...full of surprises, let's say. I...I explored, we explored new aspects of life and of the Force. We both made decisions and I want you to know...that I am proud of you," Rey said and her hands found his. She squeezed them and looked Ben in the eyes. She needed to get these words out of her chest. When he heard these words, his heart almost stopped. Nobody said these words to him, ever. Not even his parents or his masters. Only Rey. She...just a scavenger changed his life like no one else did. Her smile could make him feel like he's not a monster, like he's human again.
"Whatever happens," she continued, "I will always be there for you. You need to promise me one thing," she said and it was noticeable that it was hard for her to say it out loud. Ben read her mind and looked at her. If this promise can be something he does for her, he'll do it. She believes in him and he won't let her down.
"I won't let you, or me turn to the dark side, ever. I owe you that after everything you've done for me," he said and they both nodded when they felt it. "I feel it. The darkness...The First Order will be here soon." Rey wanted to sound strong, but deep inside, she was afraid, afraid that their plan will fail and her vision will come true. Her nightmares about becoming Snoke's apprentice and tool to kill...she shivered when she thought of that.
"Don't be afraid, I feel it too," Ben said and together they prepared for the act for the First Order. Ben will pretend he's still Kylo Ren and that Rey is still his prisoner. They will come to the new Starkiller base and there they will quietly look for the Resistance and when they find them, they will tell them where the base is. Final attack will come, they will defeat Snoke in the battle, restoring peace in galaxy once again.
"Rey...I meant it. Don't be afraid. Fear is path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate and hate leads to suffering." Ben remembered these Luke's words and also how he thought they're just words. He remembered that fear was his first step to the Dark Side.
"Rey...everything I say when I am Kylo Ren is lie. I may say bad things so please...try to ignore that."
"Oh, ignoring you is okay with me, I like doing that," Rey teased and Ben smiled. This girl was worth it, worth everything he will have to come through.
A sound of spaceship interrupted their exchange of shy smiles. They didn't know what their relationship was now, but they knew it was something out of their control.
"I will miss this," Ben said and pulled Rey into a deep kiss. It surprised her, she didn't expect that. Before she could return the kiss, Ben ended the kiss and got his expressionless face on. It took only few moments and Ben was Kylo Ren again.
"Hux!" he shouted and turned around. He was facing the general face to face.
"What took you so long?" he asked and grabbed his lightsaber. With the other hand, he pulled Hux by using the Force to him, letting the lightsaber buzz near his neck.
"We're sorry, Ren, it was hard to..."
"Screw your excuses, Hux. Let's get to the base," he siad and let him out of the tight grip. When no one was looking, and Ben double checked that, he winked on Rey and she replied with a little smile. This is going to be really adventurous mission.
