Mackenzie's pov I woke up in my bed next to Cameron. I got up and ran into my bathroom. I started my shower and hopped in. I washed my hair with my shampoo and conditioner. I then got out. I looked in the mirror. I hated my hair color. I got dressed in our clothes.

. I was going to the doctors later. I woke everyone up. Michelle was not so happy that we had to go to school. Cameron woke up right away. He was a light sleeper. He got dressed in a long sleeved red top and some denim jeans. I put on my glasses. They were a rectangular shape. "There's my sweet nerd " Cam said as he kissed my cheek. "Hey! I'm not a nerd! "I say crossing my hands over my chest. "Why yes you are, you have such a nerdy outfit on " he said looking at me up and down. "I'm not a nerd " I say as I felt my cheeks heat up. He walked closer and leaned in. Our lips met. He broke the short kiss. "You're my nerd " he said kissing my forehead. I smiled as he said that. I slipped my hand into his. "I love you " he said into the crook of my neck. "I love you too " I said kissing his cheek. We walked downstairs for breakfast. "Mackenzie the doctors called they need you to go in tonight " Michelle's mom said to me. "Alright" I say. "I'm going with her " Michelle said walking over to me. "Okay then " she said. We all ate breakfast. We all walked to school in our small group. I was hoping to see Hunter. I miss him. We got to school. I was skipping around with Cameron, singing the song YouNow Girl by 99Goonsquad. It was such an awesome song. Cam would just laugh at me. I stuck my tongue out at him. He still laughed. I then cupped his cheeks and kissed him. That shut him up. "Hey #Camzie can you keep it PG over there, some of us here are single " Michelle said. "Yeah, we don't need you two making out in front of us " Dylan said looking up from his phone. "Oh how the hell could you know if we're making out. You always on your phone " I say to Dylan. "Because I just know "he said. I rolled my eyes. We continue to walk to the school. We soon arrived and went into class. We started by learning equations. But then the door was slammed open. It made me jump. I even fell off my seat. Everyone laughed. I sat back in my chair. I saw Hunter. But he was different. He had on black clothes. And a girl was standing next to him. Practically clinging onto him. "Well Mr.Rowland why are you and Ms.Vanessa late to my class " Mrs. Gilligan said. "Cause I was with my girlfriend " he said winking, holding that girls hand. A million thoughts were running through my head. I'll admit it I was jealous. I just stared or the window the rest of the class.
Skip to the end of the day I ran out of the school with Michelle. I hit someone's shoulder. "Hey watch where~ "was alli could say before I saw who I was talking to. Hunter. I turned around and kept on walking. "Mackenzie! "He called back. "Keep walking " Michelle said pulling me along. "Hey Slut, my boyfriend was talking to you " that girl said standing in front of me. Michelle pushed her to the ground. She punched her once and stood up. I had never seen her so mad. "NOBODY CALLS MY BEST FRIEND A SLUT AND ESPECIALLY NOT SOME BITCH WHOS BREATH SMELLS OF SMOKE !" Michelle yelled in her face. We ran out of the school and made sure we weren't being followed by Hunter. We then walked to the the hospital. "We're here for Mackenzie " Michelle said to the nurse at the front desk. "Right this way " the nurse said directing us to a small waiting room. We went into the waiting room and waited nervousl. Soon the doctor came in. It was a male doctor who had a sour face, by a good sign. "Mackenzie Ice " he called out. I gulped and Michelle held my hand, giving me a reassuring look. We both walked into a room, where they gave me a hospital gown. "We have to do a few tests on her so please come with us " He said pulling out some gloves. He did a few tests that had to do with blood and a female nurse came in to do some sort of ultrasound. I was finally allowed to change back into my clothes.The doctors came back in, the girl was actually crying. "Mackenzie We have bad news " he said looking at me with sympathy. I could feel myself get weak when he said those words. "What is it? " I asked holding my friends hand. "Well those tests, were to see if there was anything wrong or anything peculiar about your reproductive system" he said taking out a file folder. "There's something in your DNA that won't allow you to have children until you meet the person who is your physical match. And in humans, it's rare to find that person " I practically stopped breathing at the end of his sentence. I kept shaking my head and saying no, over and over. I became hysterical as Michelle hugged me. "I'm sorry for you to learn this at such a young age " the doctor said patting my back. We went back and told everyone. They all were crying by the end of Michelle's explanation. I couldn't even speak to anyone, I just stared at the floor as they all ran up to hug me. That night I didn't eat anything, I just sat there with a hand over my stomach. I will not be allowed to have kids because of my stupid DNA. Cameron comforted me, but I just kept crying. I couldn't stop the tears. I decided to go for a walk. I grabbed Cameron's sweat shirt and pulled on my ugg boots. I left and went to that dock, where me and Hunter kissed. I left my short legs dangle just above the water. I looked into the reflection to see a girl who's broken and hurt. I heard footsteps walk and sit down next to me. I didn't look at them, until they said "Mackenzie? "
