"You're awake?"

"All of that giggling your doing how could I be asleep?"

Cheryl puts her index finger over her lips before she puts her hand over my eyes. I try to fall back asleep but it's really hard to with her giggling nonstop. It would seem like it would be annoying, but it's just more time for me to admire the little parts about her that combine to make her the whole person that I love.

Her laughter was so warm and delicate that it sent tingles down my spine causing me to gasp and open my eyes, seeing that her hands are gone but her smile is certainly here.

"You're supposed to be asleep"

"I can't anymore. You're so loud"

"You love it"

"I do"

Cheryl leans over to press her lips firmly against mine, making sure I can taste every ounce of them. She's trying to keep everything slow but eventually she can't contain how hungry she is and makes this moment intense by shoving her tongue into my mouth.

"Hey"

I pull us apart.

"How are you feeling today?"

"Overwhelmingly happy-"

"Why?"

"Because I feel overwhelmingly appreciated"

Cheryl's chin is in her palm as she gazes at me in an almost admiring way. I bet through her eyes she's staring at a rare jewel but through my eyes she was the most mesmerizing human being my eyes have ever laid on. Everything about her just raised the goosebumps on the flesh of my skin.

How could I have been so cruel to leave her all those times ago? I desperately can't think of a valid reason to do it now? I never want to leave her side or see her in pain because of it.

What does life have planned for us?

Our life that is.

"You have a ton of presents to open. Brayden was gracious enough to ask everyone that came to stay in a hotel room she paid for so you can live. But she said that your dad wants to meet with you later because he wants you to take him to the beach"

I start laughing what started to myself but Cheryl joined in and evolved it certainly.

My father was so attracted to the beaches down here, he's like an addict every time that he comes. And me with him at the beach will give him a field day. He's probably going to invite my siblings. A family day- I see it now.

"How about we just go early?"

Cheryl agrees and too soon if I must say as she already has a plastic cornflower blue beach bag packed for us. I just shake my head at her grabbing my black bathing suit and walking with her to the motorcycle which she attempted to drive herself but I reassured her that if we want to make it one piece I should take over.

Just as I suspected all of my siblings were ready to go and the day became a sibling day.

I just sat back with my father as everyone played in the water, like the big kids they all are.

"So kid, how are things with you and the lady?"

"We hit a rough patch recently but we worked our way through it."

My father turns to me after eyeing Holden and Adam throw clumps of sand at each other and grabs my hand.

"You guys are going to make it, okay? Life is rough that way"
