Denise, Candice & Legend in the MM

Denise house  8:45 pm.

" it's about time you made it over here" Denise said as she let me in.

" woah, woah, flag on the play is that Levi's,  a Polo shirt, not uspa but Ralph Lauren,  and Jordans, oh my god,  just wait till you go to school on monday! "

" no, i don't have a new wardrobe,  I just ransacked my brothers old clothes and my mom pregnancy box. " I admitted.

" you mean to tell me you found a maternity dress to wear to a party, where the entire school is going to be, including legend the finest boy on school"

" it doesn't look like a maternity dress, I didn't know if I wanted to dress like this or more upscale to get legend to notice me, I need your help."

" well I'm wearing a black fitted dress, with converse and a Jean jacket, I think you should wear a dress too- well first let's see how it looks on you."

I twirled around in the dress as she stood there in awe, " I have the perfect nude flats, and then we could put your hair in a neat low bun, a little make up some dark red lipstick,  ooo you're going to have all eyes on you candy!"

She was more excited than I was.

After she was done with my makeup and hair I looked in her full length mirror,  to say I had confidence is an understatement right now,  I was really happy with my size and my appearance for the first time in my life.

" are you ready?" She asked as she reapplied her lip gloss. 

I only nodded. 

We walked out the house only to see a black escalade parked inches away from her drive way.

" who's that?" I asked curiously

" our Uber driver get in I don't want to be late candy" she stressed. 

This was my first party, I was very nervous, but happy.

I look great I felt great and at this point I don't think anything can bring me down honestly .

Pulling up at the huge gates I could hear music blasting from the house.

I looked over at denise as she smiled looking out the window,  I guess that means she knows she's going to have fun tonight,  hopefully not too much. 

I made a vow to myself silently to keep my eye on her tonight.

the driver drove us up to the gate.

" can you press the button please? "

He granted her request and we waited to be let it.

" password" the deep voice came through the intercom

" Legendary"  denise spoke as she rose up and talked across the driver's seat , to say he was uncomfortable would be a lie he looked more turned on if anything.

Soon after denise spoke the large gates opened and the driver continued to drive us to the front,  he was silent and said absolutely nothing, so neither did we.

We stepped out and people almost instantly looked at me, I didn't know if it was because I looked different or if it was because I looked like I didn't belong.

" hey zyan" denise spoke. 

"Sup ma" zyan responded as he drunk whatever it was in his red cup.

When I walked in i felt like I fit right in, mostly all the girls were wearing dresses and the boys were either jeans and a t shirt or jeans and a hoodie.

" candice Kelly?"  A boy asked when he walked up to me.

"Yeah?"

" wow , you look amazing"
That earned a smile of me grinning ear to ear.

" thanks.."

" travis" he finished.

" you ever been to one of these before?"

" No I came with a friend.  But I think she's with zyan "

" why don't you come upstairs with me then"

" no thank you " I politely declined,  I don't even know how he's know me , nor do I even remember seeing him around school.

He grabbed my arm a little rough might I add . " can you let me go?"

" Naa I want you to come with me upstairs?"

" so because i declined you have to drag me upstairs,  like I'm some type of dog"

" you acting like me dragging you is easy for me, I mean look at you"

Those words stung but I refused to show it.

" let me go!" I yelled now continuing to jerk my arm.

" travis leave her alone man"

I knew that voice. 

With those words legend spoke travis let me go, while I was still pulling away and that ended me to fall flat on my ass and earns laughs through out the party.

" let me help ya' "

" no, I'm fine I'm gonna just go"

" stay , please "

This can not be happening.

" stay?  Why so i  can be laughed at even more?"

" hey, stop worrying about other people, they don't live your life you do, if being here makes you happy stay"

Can I stay because you make me happy?

" I've seen you around school, and i ain't never seen you dress up like this,  you trynna find a boyfriend or sum?"

That earned a smile and a small laugh 
" no actually, i just wanted to do something different "

" Legend,  you gotta perform in a few man"

One random kid yelled over the loud music.

He only nodded.

"You're a rapper? "

I questioned.

" singer"

My baby a singer oh my god.

" why don't you stay, and watch  then maybe we can talk some more I'd love to get to know you candy"

I was speechless Legend Jaxson wants to talk to me, i only nodded my head accepting

How did he know my nickname.

He wants to get to know me .

I literally screamed on the inside. 

" go, go, go, go!" I seen a large crowd form a circle around someone I then realized i hadn't seen denise in a while. 

I pushed through the crowd to see denise downing Hennessy and grinding on some random guy.

I  couldn't believe i let her get out of hand like this. I felt like i failed her as a best friend and i had to get her out of there.

Although I'd miss legend's performance or more time to talk to him, my best friend was way more important. 

After i called a uber and we got back to her house safely and quietly,  i tended to her, to make sure she didn't have a hang over tomorrow.
