Kiras PoV

"Stay here" Joe said as he got out the car.

I watched him walk up the driveway and knock Zoe's door.

Then it clicked- this was my time to run.

I say figuring out a route, I couldn't go home he would find me! I thought through who's house was nearest to here that I knew.

MARCUS!

I decided this was my chance to run to marcus' house. I knew he would help me.

I looked over to Joe. Zoe hadn't answered the door yet. He was stood knocking the door for ages. He wasn't going to turn around any time soon.

I threw open the door and ran, faster than I ever have before.

I wasn't exactly sporty or into athletics - so I wasn't fast. But maybe I had a chance of out running Joe?

I ran and ran when I heard a familiar voice yell my name. Ugh.

"Kira! Get here now!"

I hesitated, if I went back to him he may not let me go but if I run and he catches me then I would be in a lot of trouble. No - I had to run, Marcus's house was so close I could almost see it.

I could hear his footsteps running after me. I was so scared.

I couldn't catch my breath.

I thought I was going to pass out.

I couldn't turn around to see how close he was because I would probably fall over.

Marcus's house was in touching distance. I ran up the drive and knocked in the door so hard over and over.

That was when Joe reached me.

He pulled me by my shoulders round the side of Marcus's house by the gate to his garden. He put his hand over my mouth.

"Don't speak," he whispered in my ear, "your going to get me caught"

This was the most scared of Joe I had been.

"Heeelllloooooo" I heard Marcus's voice, it made tears well up in my eyes, I was so close. "Hello? Anyone here?"

Then I heard the door shut and I lost all hope.

"Come on!" Joe had a death grip on my wrist as we walked to the car again. Zoe obviously wasn't in.

"Get in the car," he shoved me in the passenger seat- clearly very angry.

I was so scared.

He began driving down roads I was unfamiliar with, he wasn't taking me back to my house.

"Where are we going?" I said as I fought back the tears.

"My secret hideout." He answered bluntly.

"What! No! You've got to take me home!" I said beginning to get very angry.

"You've got no choice,"

With that I went silent again, trembling.
