Problems and jealousy

Emma’s P.O.V.

At one pm the black curtains of the cabinet closed again. I took my things and went to change to one of the dressing rooms. I took off my swim suit and put on my clothes. I looked in the mirror and thought a moment if I should take off the makeup, but I was tired and my whole body ached. I took my bag and put it on my shoulder. I looked all messages that Harry had sent me. I decided not to respond to any of them, he probably had his phone turned off. I knew he was very mad at me.

“Emma.” Jessie called me.

“Yeah?”

“Thank you so much.” He said I smiled to him.

“Whenever you want.”

“Will I see you Monday at university?”

“Yeah, sure.”

He kissed my cheek. I left the shop as I bit my lower lip. I didn’t want return to the apartment. Harry is furious and I was too tired to try to explain him or to complain the fact that he never listen me. It just was not in the mood to deal with the Harry’s anger. Besides, I had to walk all the way to the apartment.

I sighed frustrated. I ran a hand through my hair. Who do I can call? I immediately thought of Harry, but he was angry with me. I would have to walk the ten blocks to the apartment. I didn’t want to walk and didn’t want to argue with Harry. I started to walk slowly, to allow time to pass for to Harry fumes lowered from his head.

“Emma.” A voice called me. I turned around.

“Trevor, what are you doing here?”

“Jessie invited me to his… presentation. You… you looked really pretty.” His cheeks flushed.

The air between us tensed and the silence became uncomfortable. I bit my lower lip and looked down to the floor. He shifted uncomfortably and I settled a lock of my hair behind my ear, trying to lighten the air. I looked around waiting for a bus or a taxi to pass, to go away from this so uncomfortable silence.

“Want a ride home?” He asked when he realized that I didn’t bring my car.

I looked up and met my eyes with Trevor’s honey eyes. I didn’t feel like walking to the apartment. But I knew that Harry would be very mad if he looked me with Trevor. His hazel eyes looked at me, waiting for my answer. This would only increase Harry's jealousy and anger, but he deserved it for acting like a child and walking away, instead of waiting for me so we could talk like adults.

“Sure, thanks.” I said shrugging.

He smiled and held out his arm to me, like a true gentleman. I smiled and took his arm. We started walking towards his car. I knew this was wrong, but had no intention of walking to the apartment. Harry must learn to control his jealousy. He has to learn to trust me, like I trust him. Without trust a relationship is nothing, right?

Trevor opened the door and I climbed into the car. He sat on the driver's side and started the car. He smiled to me before accelerating. We were both silent and I did not feel comfortable in this silence. He moved his fingers on the wheel while driving. I looked through the window, biting my lower lip.

“How’s university?” He asked casually trying to break the uncomfortable silence between us.

“Excellent, I can’t believe we’ll graduate son.” I commented.

“Not too son…” He said smiling.

“Oh c’mon, we just got a month to finish this semester and then there only we will be a year to finish.” I said smiling and giving him a tap on the shoulder. He smiled.
