Harry’s jealousy
Emma’s P.O.V.
One o'clock and I walked to my last class of the day. Chemistry. My cheeks flushed with just thinking about having to spend an hour with Professor Young. When I crossed the class door I was ten minutes late and hoped to sit in one of the back seats, a very back seat.
But all the seats were occupated and I had to go downstairs and walk to the front row while everyone stared at my every move. I sat in the first empty seat I found, trying to ignore all the looks on me.
“You’re late, Miss Smith.” Professor Young said while biting his pen and his honey eyes stared at me.
I settled into my seat, uncomfortable under his gaze.
“Sorry.” I mumbled.
“Hope it doesn’t happen again.” He said and then rolled up the sleeves of his shirt, showing the muscles of his arms, making all the girls in the class sighed.
“Okay, okay. Eyes in the front board, please. Let’s continue with the class.”
I took my book from my bag pack, took out my notebook and put them on the table. I opened my book and searched a blank page in my notebook to write. I looked for a pen on the bottom of my backpack. And in a careless movement the small object in my hands fell to the floor in front of me. Professor Young came and stooped to pick up the pen. He put it on my desk.
“Focus Miss Smith.”
I took my pencil and concentrated on writing what he wrote on the chalk-board. I moved my pen on top of my notebook blank pages. I was staring at my notebook, not wanting to look to Mr. Young. I listened to his words very carefully, but I hadn’t the guts to look up at him. I still felt embarrassed when I remember how Mr. Young and I had met the very first time.
I thought of how he had smiled to me when Jessie helped me to fix my makeup, how he had seen me pose for the cameras along with the other two girls. I remember how embarrassed I felt under his eyes and how I ran to get my clothes when the photo shoot finally ended. I ran through the halls, trying to escape from his gaze and trying to remove the red color on my cheeks.
“Miss Smith… Are you okay?” He asked me.
I was forced to raise my gaze. The classroom was empty and Mr. Young looked at me with worry eyes. My eyes looked at his hazel eyes. I blinked a few times. Had I really been so deep in my thoughts? I nodded and he smiled.
“I thought you were having some attack... I was about to inject you one of those substances.” He said nodding toward medicine bottles that were on a shelf, which we used for chemical tests.
“It won’t be necessary.” I smiled. “I was just a little distracted.”
“Apparently not just a little.” He joked. “You didn’t miss anything, or at least I hope so. Tomorrow we'll talk about the trip to the lab in Germany. I know that your language knowledge will be very useful to all.” He said walking towards his desk.
“I will be happy to help you translate.” I was as polite as I could, even though I knew that he also spoke the language.
He laughed. I grabbed my bag and saved my stuff. Professor Young was sitting at his desk, sorting through some papers. I put on my jacket on and pull up the zipper. I put on a beanie and fixed my hair. It had started to rain. Luckily Harry would be here for me today as well.
“Good bye Professor Young.” I said putting my bag on my shoulder.
“Good afternoon Miss Smith.” He said smiling. I started walking until I heard him calling me.
