It was spontaneous that I was still alive. After us both wallowing in self pity for a day, we began our escape plan. The bars were apparently bound with spells and curses, that I did certainly not want to touch or mess with at least. We needed to get out at least before my sixteenth birthday (one day now). We had devised a plan, a....
"Shhhh. He's coming." Jacob cooed. We were hidden under a thick metal bench. A gormless looking man glided in holding a metal tray of greyish food. "Now." He hissed. We bolted out and jumped onto the man. "Ahh! My foot!" The man yelped before collapsing after Jacob's muscly fist made contact with his face. "Well babe, that was a good plan." He grinned at me, not a boy trying to be beautiful, but the smile of someone generally happy and beautiful. His watch displayed:

I gulped, I would be sixteen in less than two hours. I heaved the slave's body into the cell and snatched up his set of rusty keys from his belt. I locked and bolted the door in a scary sense of revenge, I surprised even myself. We then crossed the short way to the opposite cell. The door lay locked, but no evident spells tortured the bars, so at least I was safe. Jacob tried every key there was and eventually slid the right key in and the door swung open with an eery creak. Faint echoes of stilettos against stone sounded in the distance. Oh no, not now, she was coming and fast. We ducked in and closed the door. Something caught the corner of my eye. A book, I thought. Jacob and I opened a secret passage within seconds, as if he had memorised the walls and every bit that jutted out. Quickly I scooped up the book, and I saw that it was a diary from, 1847? "Leighton, you fool where on this earth are you?" Lazzelle yelled, clearly in hearing range. "Quick!" Jacob ushered me through the wall. I dived through, closely followed by the infamously gorgeous Jacob. The wall clicked shut behind us, blocking out every sound. "Come on, I'm not taking any chances, let's just get out of here okay?" Jacob whispered, fear evident in his voice. He grabbed my hand and pulled me down the long alley like tunnel. My chest rose and fell at an incredible pace and my hands shook awfully. The tunnel went on for an eternity, a long eternity at that. The dark black, dank walls glittered with moss and water evilly. Suddenly a jutting corner peeked ahead. I had been running at such a pace that I fell to my knees at the sudden change of direction. "Come on Stacey we only have 25 minutes until your sixteen and we said we would get you out of here by then." He scooped me up in his toned arms and carried me whilst he sprinted along the stretching path. "Just put me down, I am not a damsel in distress if you don't mind." I sarcastically replied, trying to free myself from his grip. "Well that's a decision I cannot agree with, and plus were nearly at the exit." He whispered as he playfully through me up and caught me. I screamed but grinned. Finally we reached a dead end. A flat, smooth button lay dead centre in the wall. "Do you want to press it?" He giggled adorably. I nodded, he turned sideways and placed my foot tentatively against the button. The wall suddenly deteriorated and the basking nearly midnight sky stretched around us. We both laughed as he bobbed me along the green grass. Slowly I moved my arms from his shoulders to loosely hung across his neck. We stared deeply into each others eyes. I could see a lingering past that haunted his stormy eyes. Carefully I pressed my forehead against his and our noses rubbed against each others.BEEP! BEEP!
"Your now sixteen Stacey." He growled flirtatiously. I pressed my lips against his and savoured the moment in which it was just us, not anyone else, just us in our own world. He cautiously lifted me to the ground and he smiled. Not just with his mouth, his eyes too. After that longing look I fell into the deep embrace of sleep whilst laying under the glistening stars.
I awoke to heavy pounding of someone else's chest. I turned to see Jacob curled next to me, his arms draped around my waist. Smiling inwardly and outwardly I removed his hands from me and shook him awake. "Urgh." He slurred groggily. Seeing my face he broke into a goofy grin. He silently got to his feet and shook his head to relieve the morning blues. Cautiously he intwined his spidery fingers with mine. Our hands fitted together like a jigsaw puzzle that hadn't been assembled in an age, like glue. We trod forward along the grass, now enlightened brilliantly by the sun as we were surrounded by streaky pink skies. We headed towards the rising sun, directionless and unsure of what our bleak future held. Cecil wasn't there uncoincidently, so we were screwed. The forest lingered in the distance uncertainly, then a long gravel path lead down a stretching drive onto a plain country road. He beckoned towards the road and he dragged me along down a long winding path, surrounded by reads as high as my waist. I had had enough of the fields, maybe it was the snake nearly killing me or the absence of my bad ass cat, well it could be any of them. Nothing was remotely familiar. Not the grass, not the path, not my emotions, not my company. Soon sounds of cars grumbling and the honking of horns surrounded us. Suddenly I felt at home for the first time in a long while, but Jacob looked disgruntled and his hand began shaking anxiously in my grasp. "Have you ever flagged down a car?" I asked, a mischievous grin playing on my lips. He shook his head as I began screaming at drivers and passengers, begging them to let us in their cars.
It felt like hours until someone actually stopped for us. I sighed in relief when it finally stopped but my heart sunk when I saw who was driving. Sam was sitting in the car gripping the starring wheel so hard that his knuckles turned white, glaring at me and Jacob's intwined hands. Why was he so angry? Wasn't he with Jade? Jacob was about to introduce himself, obviously sensing that we knew each other, but before he could say anything I was saved by the bell, literally. I mean, honestly, when was my ring tone a bell. I untangled my fingers from Jacob's hand and quickly answered my phone.
"Hello, this is Stacey-"
"Hi, yeah, sorry sis but we're a bit busy at the moment. We can't make it." Cecil's voice echoed down the phone.
"Wait 'we'? As in you and Terry? What are you two doing?" A distinct click could be heard and then I realised that he had hung up on me. What are those two doing? Anyway, back to the matter at hand. I opened the front door of the car and gestured for Jacob to get in the back. I ducked into the car and the sweet smell of jellybeans wafted from the jellybean air freshener. I strapped my self in the seatbelt and faced Sam.
"Well, you can't stop stalking me, can you Samuel?" I asked, sarcasm weaving through my voice. He sighed angrily and drive the car forward relentlessly along the motorway. He growled when Jacob felt for my hand. Jacob piked his tongue out at Sam and mimicked him silently, I chuckled, causing Sam to heave. After about an hour, he swung the car into a driveway and stooped abruptly. "Get out." He hissed flatly. "Now." Jacob cautiously opened the door and we both hastily left the car. Sam scowled at us and drove off in an angry fit of rage. "Ex boyfriend?" He asked, not annoyed but nearly curious. I nodded shamefully. "I do not know what you saw in that ass, now come on let's look inside." He beckoned towards the rosewood door.Authors Note
