The Dream

One month
"Jackie, come out , come out wherever you are."

I'm sitting in a lawn chair in the backyard. I'm drinking a cup of coffee.

"Jack I saw white hair back there!"

I point behind our old oak tree. Jack tackles Jackie.

"You found me!"

"Ha ha yes daddy did!"

I get up and join the tackle.

"Mommy, it's your turn to hide. Daddy and I will try and find you."

"Okay!"

I hide behind the fountain.

"One... Two... Three... Four... Five... Six... Ready or not here we come!"

I hear little footsteps. Jackie comes running over to me. I grab her.

"I've got you!"

My eyes fly open. I sit up quickly. My heart's pounding. I lie back down. I put my hand on my forehead and wipe the sweat from my face. I roll over and grab my phone to text Anna.

Anna, I just had the craziest dream. Please text me back soon

What was the dream? You know what! I'll just come into your room. Be right there!

My door bursts open. I get up and sit at my mini table in the center of my room. Anna joins me.

"So tell me the dream."

"Jack and I were married. And we had a little girl. Her name was Jackie. It was probably short for Jacklyn or something. Anyways we were playing hide and seek. Jack found her then it was my turn to hide. I hide behind our fountain. Jackie found me. I gave her a tackle hug then I woke up. I wish it was real. It seemed just so real. Her white hair was in a braid She wore a little blue and white dress. Her hair was as soft as... as Sheila's fur. Oh Anna."

I give her a hug.
