The Doctor and The Surgeon

One Night Stand part 1

I wake up in an unfamiliar bedroom. My head is throbbing. I look around the room. It's a hotel room. I get out of the bed and grab my little icy purple dress and put it on. I find a note on the side table.

Dear Elsa,
I had fun last night. Your good. See you at work!
Love,
Jack Frost

I drop the note in terror. I grab my handbag and put the note inside. I put on my high heels and leave quickly. I get in my silver Mazda and head home. I open the door to my mansion. Sheila, my puppy comes running to greet me. She's a rottweiler.

"Hiya girl. How are you."

I pat her head and go upstairs to my room. Sheila follows. I look at my phone for the time.

"Nine 'o clock! I have work!"

I run to my room and take a shower. After my shower I get dressed. Mary Margaret, my maid knocks on my door.

"Ms. Elsa are you up?"

"Yes just a minute."

I put my hair in a neat bun and leave. I call my sister, Anna.

"Hey Elsa. You're going to be late. How long did you sleep?"

"Hours. I'm pulling into the hospital parking lot now bye!"

I hang up before she can answer. I head to the locker room. I put on my doctor's coat. I gulp as Jack comes in. His locker is neighboring mine.

"Hey, Elsa. How was last night."

I slam my locker and leave. Jack follows.

"Don't talk to me!"
"Come on?"

"I have patients."

"Not until ten fifteen. It's only nine forty five. We can talk."

I turn around to him.

"Listen. I don't care about last night. I don't care what happened. And I really don't care about you. If you mind I'll be going to get coffee."

I walk away. When I turn around, he's gone. I sigh in relief. Rachel is standing by the coffee machine looking at me with an evil smirk.

"What?" I say playfully.

"I saw you with Jack. I also didn't hear from you last night. You were also yelling at Jack. That means something happened. What did you do?"

She leans on the counter.

"Maybe it was a one night stand?"

She gasps.

"You, Dr. Elsa Winters, and Surgeon, Jack frost? No!"

"I think so."

I take a sip of my coffee. It burns my tongue. I look at my watch. It's ten ten.

"I have patients in five minutes bye!"

"Bye!"

I had her my coffee and run out of the room. My first patient is waiting signing papers.

"Tiana Noland?"

"I'm here."

"Come on back Tia."

Tiana is my best friend. She owns a restaurant with her husband. She's always here.

"Take a seat. So what happened this time?"

"I was frying some shrimp when the oil splashed onto my hand."

"Let's see."

I take her hand and examine it. I grab some ice.

"Hold that. I need to grab some bandages."

"You got it."

I come back with bandages. I take the ice and wrap her hand.

"Oh thank you Elsa. That feels way better!"

"Good. I recommend no cooking. Just wait on the tables. Alright?"

"It'll be hard but okay."

"Bye."

"Bye."

I clean up the room and go back to the waiting room.

"Aurora Warren?"

"Yes?"

"Come on back."

She follows me to the room.

"Let's see that baby shall we?"

She's finding out what she's having. I start the ultrasound.

"Here's the head. There are the little hands. Now to see what it is."

She smiles.

"It's a girl! Congratulations!"

"Oh Phillip is going to be so disappointed. He really wanted a boy. I'm so happy though. She'll grow up to be a beautiful woman I'm sure."

I smile. She pulls her shirt back down and hugs me.

"Have a good day Dr. Elsa!"

"You too."

I clean the room. I check my schedule. No patients until after lunch.
