Niall's POV

Blackness.

That's all that I could see.

I tried to open my eyes or move, but I couldn't. I listened for any sound but all I heard was my steady heart monitor. I felt numb all over as if ants or spiders walked over me, constantly biting me. It didn't hurt. It didn't tickle. It was just that annoying numb feeling.

I tried to open my eyes again but failed. The orders I sent to my brain weren't working and I started to panic. Was I dead? Is this how it feels to be dead?

A door opened preventing me from going into a panic attack. I listened.

"I'll come back later," I heard a female voice say.

"Thanks," a hoarse voice answered.

Harry? I smiled internally.

I heard loud footsteps approaching the side of my bed, and I could already picture Harry's old, worn out, brown, boots.

"Hello, Niall," he whispered from next to me. There was silence as if he was hoping I'd answer.

I heard rustling and the bed dipped down from next my feet.

"I-I'm glad you're alright. The doctor said you were just sleeping because of the doze. I cried of happiness when I realized the needle injected to you wasn't the venomous one. And I know this sounds rude and too inhuman, but I'm glad that Damon got the bad needle. He deserved it. You probably don't know but Damon died."

Harry took a pause as if he knew I was trying to take everything in.

Damon died? I was relieved he was gone out of our life's, but the news kinda shocked me.

"Eleanor's alright. She's out of the hospital, so that's a plus. Zayn is still worried about Liam's arm mending it so it won't get infected, but Liam's a tough guy, he'll get through it. This is something you probably don't know, but Ziam is real. Zayn and Liam are dating. Can you believe it?"

Dating? It's about time! Wow, unbelievable...

"You know, this past few days since I found out about Zayn and Liam, I've been thinking. How ironic ha? WE'RE the ones married, but our love isn't real. Then you have Ziam, and it's totally... Shocking."

What was Harry getting at?

"You see, Niall, I wasn't planning on never telling you this, I really wasn't. I'd rather keep it a secret forever and save what we DO have."

What WAS Harry getting at? I was getting pretty confused and it was getting hard to keep up.

"But when they kidnapped you, when those heartless people decided to makes our lives hell by taking you away from us, I started questioning myself. Was keeping it a secret really the right way to go? I didn't want to lose you."

Harry will never lose me. I won't leave him; ever. He means too much for me. So I don't know what he's worried about.

"When we got you back, I decided to keep my secret. It was the best way to go, the ONLY way to go. But then I almost lost you again. My world stopped and realization hit me like a wave of water. I'd rather you know my real feelings, because friends or not, I could still lose you."

Trust me Harry, I'm not going anywhere...

"Niall, when you wake up, I promise you that I'll tell you."
