After school, Dan and I walk to a small coffee shop near our school. We sit down and order our drinks. Dan and I both order green tea. We sit and make small talk while sipping at our drinks. Sometimes just sitting in silence looking at each other.
All that ends though, as Leo, Harry and Oliver walk in. Of goddamn course. Dan obviously sees them as well, as he ACTUALLY GRABS MY HAND and walks out with me.
To late. Again. 'Aw look at those faggots! In love!' Harry yells making puppy eyes at us and acting as if he's just seen the cutest thing in the world. But he's faking it. I just give him the most bitchiest face I can. When dan suddenly has the most sass in the world.
'Phil? Can you hear that?, I think I hear barking. I wonder if it's got anything to do with the dog that's about a metre in front of us?' Dan says, smirking at me. He walks us out, leaving the other three stunned.
'Woah.' Is all I can say to Dan. He just smirks, and I realise we're still holding hands. I don't say anything though. I don't want this to end.
Dan walks me home, and says goodbye with a hug and I walk into my front door, watching as Dan walks until he's turned the corner. I walk into the lounge room where my mum is sitting.
'Hey mum!' I say plopping myself and my bag down next to her. 'Hey philly' Mum says smiling at me. 'How was your day?' She asks. 'Well...' I explain what happened. Everything. As I always do anyways.
By the end of the story, my mum is looking at me wide eyed 'so you've found a boy?!' She says grinning at me. I nod, my smile going from ear to ear. 'That's amazing phil!' She exclaims hugging me tight. 'Turns out he's got music class with me too!' I say smiling even wider at the memory. 'Even better!' She says.
My mother's always been like this. She's pretty much my best friend, as well as my mother of course. I love that so god damn much. I'm glad she's like this, I couldn't ask for better.
'You NEED to invite him over on the weekend!' She says throwing her hands up in the air in excitement. I smirk 'mmmmm maybbee, but you might scare him off.. I don't know.' I say teasing her.
'I'll cook you my best food for lunch...' She says, teasing back looking away. 'Okay! Okay, I give in, maybe you won't scare him away!' I say putting my hands up in defeat.

The next day I'm happier to go to school than I've ever been before. I do everything quicker than I ever have too. I go to school early quickly bringing a price of toast with me to eat on the way to school.
'Bye sweetie! Good luck!' My mum says looking at me smiling. 'Thanks mum! See you this arvo' I say waving as I walk out the door.
I practically run to school. Not even worried about the straight tormentors.
