A Walk in The Park

During a lovely sunset, Mr.Herbert enjoyed a walk with his limping canine, or at least he claims so, whatever this creature is. He passes by a few dead pigeons, he ushers his creature to consume the carcasses while he watches intently and listens to the cracking of bones, ruminating over life and death, pain and pleasure. Suddenly, he asserts "I now understand the beauty of life" while terrified children pass by who cannot decide which of our two friends is more frightening.

A child, the bravest of his group, approaches Mr.Herbert with a smile and says "Sir, what is this beauty you understood?" Mr.Herbert fixes his gaze on this child, burning with intense rage at what he views to be an undeserving pest for disturbing his revelatory exploration of the very fabric of life. He brings his face closer to this child and blows a God forsaken breath into his face.

He then shows the child a mirror and points to the young brave brat's reflection and says "entertain with me child the passing of time and the growing into old age, one day your ugly face will be filled with wrinkles and henceforth uglier by a thousand measures, you will share the fate of these pigeons and your frail bones will be crushed and munched by time, do you not see the beauty?"

The child horrified says "No sir" Mr. Herbert continues "The beauty lies my ugly friend in how ugly things like yourself become uglier with time and you begin to appreciate their inner beauty more, do you know what inner beauty I am describing?" The child says "No". Mr.Herbert laughs and almost pukes his heart out and says "why the lovely cracking of their bones!". He then stares intensely at the poor child and says with the creepiest of smiles "I wonder what pleasurable sound your bones would make when they crack my ugly friend"

The child ran, leaving a trail of yellow.
