Flipped Around (Discontinuous)

Chapter Seven | Elissa Springs

It was the day after Valentines Day, also the day when my brother was beaten by my father. He had a broken nose and bruises but that's all, yesterday Octavia and Damon had helped me and Caleb out.

Damon

He acted like a badass but really he's a softy and I loved that about him. Octavia hated him but I thought he was an alright guy.

All four of us hadn't gotten any sleep, as all you could hear was shouting and things being thrown across the room.

"We need to call the police" Octavia stated

"No, you are not going to phone the police" I replied

Octavia didn't respond and went back to helping Caleb out

"He just needs help, he watched his wife die, our mother Caleb" I said all of a sudden, trying not to cry

Damon hadn't said anything in a while so I looked around trying to find him "Where's Damon Oct?"

And as on cue the black haired guy walked in, with plates in his hands "I heard my name" Damon said with a smirk

That smirk will be the death of me

"Why the fuck would you go down!?" Octavia half shouted "Do you not see what happened to them" Pointing to me and Caleb

"Did you also know that pointing is rude" I smiled

Damon gave me a plate with a sandwich on and I thanked him quietly, It wasn't the best looking sandwich I've ever seen in my life but it tasted alright. As I was munching on my food, Caleb had stood trying to walk

"Shit" He said only loud enough for us three to hear him, Octavia went to sit him down again but Caleb being himself walked away.

"Oct, leave him"

She looked me in the eyes and all I could see was hurt and let me tell you, that's something you don't see much with her.

Octavia liked Caleb

And only now I figure this out

She stook the hurt off and started to eat her sandwich that Damon had made. It was weird having him in my room as I didn't talk to him at school although he did come up to us but having Octavia with me she would tell him to fuck off

After finishing the alright sandwich, I looked at Damon his black hair was messy like it always was and his perfect teeth weren't on show instead there stood a frown

"How do you feel Elissa?" His voice snapped me out of my daydreaming, I didn't replied back I just returned a smile

Later on Octavia and Damon had left my house, leaving me home alone with Caleb. I didn't know know where my father was but knowing him, he was probably  getting druck.
