Chapter Sixteen | Octavia Chase

I was pissed. Well that was an understatement. I wanted to punch anything that walked on two legs.

I stormed down the corridor and came face to face to Caleb. I scoffed and walked the other way ignoring his voice.

I rounded the corner and walked up to the plastics. Britney spun on her heel and rushed towards me throwing her arms around my neck.

" Hey girlie " She said in her overly squeaky chalk on a blackboard type voice. I cringed but kept a smile on my face.

We walked down the corridor them chatting about random shit and me playing candy crush on my phone.

I glanced up and noticed Elissa by her locker. I wanted to talk to her I really did but her brother had literally pissed me off so much.

I silently walked past and walked into the lunch room. I grabbed an apple and a bottle of water and went to sit with the popular group.

I sat down and went straight on my phone ignoring those chatting around me. Well that was until I heard the springs names.

" Did you hear about Caleb. Apparently he cheated on the girl he was with the morning before the party. His sister knew " At this moment I was fuming.

I stormed out the lunch room and rushed into the girls bathroom hoping that my makeup hadn't run.

When I relieved it hadn't I pulled my ginger hair up into a bun and walked back out the bathroom. I checked my phone I found I had a message.

[ You Okay Octavia ] - Damon.

[ Just Peachy Thanks ] - Octavia.

[ Really With The Sarcasm ] - Damon.

[ Let's Just Say I'm Not Happy With Either Of The Springs ] - Octavia.

[ What's Up ] - Damon.

[ Don't Worry I Got This ] - Octavia.

I checked the time and realised class started in a few minutes. I sighed and made my way there not wanting another late detention.

I met up with Britney when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and found Ellisa standing there. I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Can I help you" I finally said when she didn't reply.

"I, urm wanted to talk to you" I looked at her to continue with what she was saying "Oct I want to know why your not talking to me, what have I done for this"

I laughed in her face and soon Britney joined in for no reason. "Firstly we were never friends, secondly why don't you ask your brother and lastly only my best friends can call me Oct, which your not"

I did the unthinkable next. I punched her in the face. She fell to the ground and tears filled her eyes.

"Stupid bitch"I say before walking off.

Suddenly my own tears threatened to fall from my eyes. Oh what have I done. She didn't tell me she didn't want me sad.

And the rumour might not be true. I just punched my best friend in the face and I felt like a classic bitch. Hold that I was a classic bitch.

I ran a my hand threw my hair a few times and wiped my falling tears with the sleeves of my hoodie. I had to fix this.

I ran out of the school and down the street the wind biting at my bare ankles and my hair going like crazy.

" Oct wait " Britney started appearing from the entrance of the school.

" Only Elissa can call me that " I shouted at her carrying on running to Elissa's house.

I banged on the door multiple times until a very annoying Caleb answered. When he saw me his face dropped.

" Not the time Octavia " He said trying to close the door but I wasn't having it. I pushed it open running up the stairs to Eli's room.

" Elissa I'm sorry " I said pushing my way in to find her nursing her jaw that was badly bruised.

" Why though Octavia " She said staring at me.

" Bad day Elissa I thought you knew that your douche bag of a brother slept with another girl " I said sadly.

Her eyes widened and she cracked her knuckles.
