Six months have passed since you've come home from your small journey with Link. Everything was right with the world and you couldn't be happier. Ordon was so peaceful. Link had taught you how to use a bow and arrow and sparred with you every once in a while. Things were getting serious between the both of you and everyone knew it. Zelda wrote you letters asking about the both of you. It was nice when she visited. She was the only girl you got along with. Life was just so perfect.
It was an early spring morning. You woke up for work as usual and waited for Link outside. He came out in his usual farmers clothes. You preferred him without his cap. His blonde locks fell just above his eyes. He climbed down his ladder and approached you. "Good morning beautiful." He said placing a kiss on your head. "Good morning my love." Both of you head to the ranch.
When you arrive you notice all the work is done. "Hey Link! Hey (y/n)! No need for work today, I have something else for the two of you." Fado says. "What's going on?" You ask. "Well (y/n), looks like three of my goats are sick." You look at Fado confused. "So?" Link smiles. "That means that they'll produce sour milk and stale cheese." Link says. Fado nods in agreement. "I need you two to go fetch herbs from the Zora domain. I need it before it spreads. Think you guys are up for it?" You look at Link. He smiles and says, "If (y/n) is okay with it then we'll leave before sundown." You nod and Fado thanks you both. You and Link head home to prepare for the journey.
"How long do you think it'll be?" You ask. "Probably at least a day. Should be no problem." You pack enough supplies and prepare to get going. Loki and Epona are grazing in the grass. You can't help but wonder how long perfect days like this can last. Life was never easy for too long and you knew it. How sad. I can't enjoy serenity no matter how much I want to. Link calls you out of your thoughts. "Ready to go beautiful?" You nod. "Let's do this"
The journey to the domain was easy. You were led by a Zora to a healer who had the herbs you needed. Instead of leaving right away, Link showed you the entire domain. He took you to top of the domain where there was a giant waterfall. Link was by the edge. "It's beautiful isn't it?" He said. You joined him at his side. As you tried to peer over he stuck his hand out. "You should be careful. This waterfall is pretty dangerous." You smiled at Link. "Hey I'm a pretty good swimmer you know. The water is my element." He tried to argue but before he could get a word out you jumped over the edge and dove into the water below. When you came up you looked for Link but he was gone. That's when you heard a splash behind you. Link surfaced and looked at you. "Are you cra-" you pressed your lips against his before he could continue. "You really are something else (y/n) you know that?" "It's what keeps you interest right?" Link smiled as you swam around in the warm water.
You left at sunset. You say by Link as he drove the carriage. The Stars were brighter than usual. The night was beautiful. The fields sang with insects and animals. Perfection. "Sure is beautiful." You said. Link held your hand. "The stars can't compare to you." You smiled.
Epona began to get fussy so Link decided to camp in Faron woods for the night. You set up camp. Link falls asleep as you lay next to him. The night is quiet. So quiet that you heard the foot steps creep up behind the trees. You reached for your sword quietly and stalked around the trees. Just as you're about to relax a hooded figure pulls you by the hair and throws you to the ground. You hit a tree and let out a groan of pain. The figure runs up to you. "Give me your rupees and food and I'll let you live." It's too dark to make out any detail under the hood. "Fuck you." You get up and lunge at the man. He dodges every attack but barely. He gets close to you and stops. "(Y/n)?" You kick him in the gut and he stumbles over. Link wakes up in a confused state. You walk up to your attacker holding your sword to his face. "How do you know who I am?" He removes his hood and you fall to your knees as you stare into the face of your oldest brother. "Ashur..."
