I wake up from my nap in the van and am blinded by the light. I look over at Kim, who is sleeping, and can't help but to smile. She looks so innocent and happy when she's asleep that I hate to have to ever wake her.  Her face suddenly starts to change into a pained expression and a single tear falls silently down her face. I start to panic and wonder what could she be dreaming about that is so bad as to make her cry. I gently wipe the tear off of her cheek and she starts to break away from her dreams. When she opens her eyes she looks so upset and worried that I can't stop myself from asking her if she is okay.

"Yeah, I'm fine, it was just a dream," she says faking a smile.

I don't believe her, but decide to not push her into telling me anything. I've never seen her this fragile before, she is usually bursting with energy, laughing at me, or incredibly serious. She is never weak and tries to hide her emotions. People often think that she is mad because of this, but she is actually just trying to protect herself from getting hurt. I don't know what is causing her this sorrow, but I hope it doesn't last long.

A couple hours later I look out the window to see a huge Disney sign staring back at me. My excitement starts bubbling up and make Kim look at the beauty of it. After such a long time the trip is finally over!

We park at the resort and start unpacking the van. We have so much stuff that it is going to take at least two trips to bring it all in,  but we don't really mind now that we can relax. The hot sun is beating down our backs and blinding us, but we just trudge through the doors and head towards the maple wood desk to check in.

As the rooming arrangements are managed by my mother we stand awkwardly behind her and watch the people pass by. Mothers, dressed in tank tops and shorts, escort their young children in and out of the main doors. They are heading for the Disney parks and the pools. Their children are attempting to run ahead even though they don't know where they are going or how to get there. I close my eyes and am engulfed by the sound of flip flops hitting the ground as people walk past, children yelling at each other from across the room, and birds calling out to one another outside.

I'm poked on the shoulder and I snap my eyes open to see Kim smirking at me, "Do you want to stay here, because if so I won't bother telling you that we're leaving you."

"What, yes! I mean, no! I mean, ugh, lets go!" I say in confusion. Kim laughs and we run to catch up with the rest of them. We get in the elevator with another family and wait for it to stop on our floor. We end up getting out of the elevator first and once we get to the room I plop down on the tan couch. Mother makes the boys go out and get the rest of the stuff right away, but Kim and I get to lounge around on the couch and enjoy ourselves.

"We're going to go to Epcot tomorrow if that is okay with all of you!" mother calls from the small kitchen. She is putting away the food that we brought to snack on while we were watching movies and lounging around doing nothing.

"Yeah, that's fine with me, I mean who is actually gong to say no to going to Epcot? They have a British and a Japanese store there! It is basically heaven!" Kim says rolling around on the floorlike a madman.

Steven and Bryce walk in on this bizarre scene and share a look before tackling Kim and tickling her. She starts laughing hysterically and attempts to tickle them back, but her hands get pinned down. I pull out my phone, take a picture of them, and then post it to Wattpad. While I am doing this Bryce stands up and walks away leaving Kim pinned down by Steven. They become really worn out by the outburst of energy and Steven sinks down to the floor.

I stay on my phone for a while before looking around for Kim to show her something hilarious that I found. I walk through the kitchen, the boy's room, and my parents room before I finally find her sitting on the mini porch. She has her head down on her knees so all you can see is her blonde hair mixing into her black skinny jeans and Panic! At The Disco shirt. Her back rises up in a slow rhythmic pattern indicating that she has fallen asleep.

I sit in the chair next to her and watch her for a couple minutes before I hear a boy shout up to us. I look around for the source of the voice for a moment and figure out that it came from a brunette on the tennis court that was approximately fifty meters away. I decide to ignore them since I have never seen them before in my life, but they continue to yell up at me.

"Hey, the red headed chick up there, come down and play some tennis with us! It will be fun!" he shrieks. Another boy on the court walks over to him and they start arguing. The fight starts out with just harsh words, but quickly escalates into a fist fight.

I run inside to try to find one of the guys, but my mom tells me they went for a walk around the resort. I have no choice to run out and stop the fight myself so I start running out the door when I feel a hand touch my shoulder. I whip around and find Kim standing there with a strange look on her face.

"I know what you're doing, Jess, and I'm not letting you go alone," she says stubbornly. I know that she isn't going to change her mind on this so I just give in and we start running down the halls.

I start towards the elevators, but Kim grabs my hand, shakes her head, and leads me to the stairs. I groan, but I know that we don't have the time to wait for the elevator to get there and make so many stops on the way down. We reach the final set of stairs, but I am completely winded. I try to not show it by keeping my breath as steady as possible, but Kim can tell and slows her pace to match mine.

"No, keep going, I'll catch up in a minute. He needs help," I struggle out. Kim hesitantly nods, not wanting to leave me behind, and dashes off again. The way that boy started to hit him I doubt he has stopped and I hate people getting hurt. I try to stop it even if I don't know them, but I'm not that strong so I usually get pushed to the sidelines.

When I finally make it to the tennis court Kim has the brunette pinned to the ground and is screaming in his face. The other guy is lying on the ground unable to get up. I run over to him and analyze his wounds. He doesn't have any broken bones, but his ribs are probably bruised and his nose is still bleeding from a hard punch. After I'm done analyzing I feel a body plop down next to me, who I assume is Kim.

"He has no broken bones, but he is pretty badly beaten. His ribs are bruised and he might've lost a tooth, I'm not sure since he refuses to open his mouth. He needs to go to the nurse, but spending money on a hospital isn't necessary," I say turning to the person. I swallow slowly as I realize it isn't Kim.

The girl sitting next to me has large, chocolate eyes and jet black hair. She has a black tank top on that is mostly covered by her red and black flannel and black skinny jeans covering her skinny legs. From the looks of her she is about sixteen, but her eyes say that she is much older. She doesn't even look at me, but grabs his hand speaks to him in a soft voice.

"Listen to me you idiot, we have to get you cleaned up now. Stand up already okay?" she says trying to pry him to his feet. He eventually gets up, leans on her, and they limp towards the building never looking back even once to say thank you. His body looks frailer then it did on the ground as the sun makes them little more then just a shadow. He has deep brown black hair, that hangs over his nut brown eyes.

"Well they were rude!" Kim says coming up behind me.

"Yeah, but they might just be scared that he won't be okay. Either way it doesn't really matter, does it? We won't ever see them again, so what's the point of holding a grudge against them?" I ask turning away from them. Kim shrugs and we smile at each other before Kim darts off towards the building. I scramble after her, the sun disappearing over the horizon and the night air cooling my skin, as I run I think of the boy and wish that I could see him one last time. I shake my head of the silly thought and push on harder chasing after my best friend. Who would've thought I would become so stupid after meeting one guy for just a couple of minutes?
