Scarlet's POV:

It's Saturday and I'm with Josh eating lunch at a cafe " so... since the concert isn't until six we can walk around at the shops until then" Josh plans " that sounds good" I smile, Josh got us tickets to a spring band festival which is held in the park, " you better be ready to buy me gifts" I giggle " oh yeah" Josh smirks " yes because these are my favorite shops" I gesture around the square " alright then we need to finish up here and get to shopping huh" Josh says taking a bit out of his burger. We spent thirty minutes sitting at the cafe eating and talking when someone called out to us " what are you two doing here" I look up at a sad Jason with a disgusted Tracy hooked at his arm " it's none of your business" I growl " oh so you two must be going to that spring band festival.... why don't we all hang out till then" Tracy suggests " sure that sounds fun" Josh surprises me with his response " what?" I ask "come on Scarlet it's much more fun with others don't you think" he gives me a mischievous grin " haha... alright" I grin back. It didn't take long for me to get annoyed with Jason and Tracy but Josh kept me occupied " hey look at this" Josh calls " what... pfft... HAHAHA" Josh had this ridiculous outfit on " what the hell is that" I point at him " what it's an awesome look" he chuckles I turn away from him and look back at the dress I was looking at.

Jason's POV:

He was so annoying, acting all childish towards Scarlet " do you like it.... why don't you go try it on" I hear his annoying voice behind me " I don't know.... it's really expensive" Scarlet's smooth voice spoke " oh come on I'll treat you and buy it for you... so go try it on" the guy persisted ".... fine" Scarlet gives in. Scarlet changed into the dress and when she stepped out I couldn't take my eyes off of her, she was so beautiful in the ocean blue one sleeve dress, " wow... Scarlet that looks really good on you" for once that Josh guy said something I agree with " hehe... thanks" Scarlet blushes " ooh that does look good on you here you can wear it out of the store let me just take the tag" the clerk came over and removed the tag from the dress " great thank you" Josh followed the clerk with Scarlet by his side.

Scarlet's POV:

I can't believe Josh bought me that dress, oh that dress is gorgeous, " thank you Josh that was so sweet of you to buy me the dress" I intertwine our hands together " no problem I would want you to be happy and beautiful" he smiles " that's crap" Jason mumbles most likely not wanting me to hear " hey why don't we head to the park I'm craving ice cream" I suggest " yeah sure let's go" Josh pulls me gently toward the park. We enter the park and head to the ice cream booth in the park and order our ice cream " here you go" Josh hands me a cone of vanilla " thanks" Tracy walked behind me pushing me forward causing Josh to feed his ice cream to his nose " pfft" I try to hide my laughter " that's not funny" Josh smirks " no... it's not... it's delicious" I lick the ice cream off of his nose making him blush " aww you're blushing" I giggle " shut up" Josh turns away from me " look they're letting people into the stands" Josh points our attention to the opening gates to the audience area " cool come on" I grab his hand and drag him through the gates. It took no time at all for the concert to start, when it did me and Josh were dancing to every song each band played. It wasn't until the last band's last song when Josh tells me " I'm so glad I asked you out... I've liked you since I showed you around the school" he leaned a little closer to me " really" I ask innocently " yeah really" I moved closer with him until our lips meet " you bastard" a guy growls " get away from her" rough hands pull me away from Josh " what the hell" I yell at the guy realizing it was Jason " JASON" I scream at him when he punches Josh " JASON STOP" I pull on his arm " get the hell off of me" he pushes me away leading to me crashing into the stage " GAHH" pain shoots through my back " hey you alright" people ask around me " I'm.... fine" I rub my temples feeling dizzy " you don't look to good girl" a blonde say kneeling in front of me " HEY COULD YOU TWO STOP FIGHTING AND WORRY MORE ABOUT HER" some random guy yelled at the guys " what.... JASON GET THE HELL OFF OF ME" Joshua throws Jason off of him and rushes to me " holy shit Scarlet I'm so sorry come on let's get you to a hospital" he picks me up causing me to hiss in pain " please be careful" I squeak " yeah sorry just hold on" Josh was about to take off to his car when someone informs him that they already called for an ambulance and he just needed to walk me to the entrance of the park. I must have hit my head because I was really dizzy and I have almost blacked out a couple of times. " you took a really bad hit to the head... but don't worry you only have a small cut and a minor concussion so you should be fine" the paramedic told me and my mother had also been called " good" my mother sighed and stepped off of the ambulance " now you young man are in some big trouble" mom jabs Jason with her index finger " I'm really sorry ma'am I didn't mean to do that I just got angry at him and I might of pushed her away for trying to get me off of him" Jason tries to explain himself " well too bad mister your parents will hear of this... you are lucky she just has a concussion or else I will charge with assault" mom glares at him " but thank you for bringing her to the paramedics sweetheart" she turns to Josh " you must be the new boyfriend she told me about" she added " haha... yeah I was hoping that we could have a very eventful day but I didn't mean for something like this to happen" Josh seemed a little upset " Josh I had a great time with you... you bought me this beautiful dress and made me laugh the whole time we were walking around so it was great" I give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek " thanks I'm glad you had fun" he smiles " well I'll see you tuesday" I wave to him as I made my way to my mom's car.

The rest of the weekend was tiring since I had a concussion the whole time plus I missed one day of school so I had to work extra hard when I go back to school tuesday. " Scarlet I hope you don't lose that boyfriend of yours" mom speaks from the stove " and why is that" I ask " well there is not many guys like him anymore... most of the men now are like...... your father: a drunk, gambling son of a bitch" mom states " mother.." I gasp " what" she turns around " language" I say like she would to me " oh please like you wouldn't of said the same thing" she says matter of factly " true but still you never let me get away with it" I slouch over the counter " that is true but I'm the mother" she giggles the last part. Soon Jessie was home and we had dinner and of course headed off to bed for school the next morning. I got up the next morning going through my normal routine putting on some skinny jeans, a blue blouse, my black converse and a light blue beanie to match. When I got to school everyone asked how I was doing and helped me out anyway they could. It wasn't till school was out that it really turned bad. I was walking out to my car with Josh, leaning against my car Josh and I were saying our goodbyes before he walked away. I didn't have enough time before a ghost from the past stepped in front of me " hey girly.... do have some money I can use" the drunk man slurred " what... no I don't have money for you to steal" I growl " how dare you speak to me that way" the man raises his arm bringing it down hard and fast " YOU WILL RESPECT ME AND NEVER TALK LIKE THAT TO ME" he yells after his palm made contact with my cheek " do you not understand I don't respect you anymore not after what you did to mom you bastard" I get out as he slaps me again " what do you think you're doing" Josh cuts in and stops the man " this has nothing to do with you" he seeths " it has everything to do with me... now unless you want to be put in jail for assault of a student then I suggest you leave" Josh threatens. The man left and Josh drove me home " thanks for helping me" I mumble " no problem that's what boyfriends do" he says not moving his eyes from the road " by the way if you don't mind me asking who was that guy" I flinch at the thought of him " that was..." I trail off " oh I didn't mean to pry if it's too hard to talk about it then don't" he reassures " no I don't mind.... He is my dad" I turn toward the window " really then why was he... you know" he asks " after my brother was born he stopped caring about us and my mom found out he had been cheating on her so she confronted him and told him she was leaving and taking us with her but he got angry and threatened her by hurting me and Jess.... That held her off for a couple of years but he became an alcoholic and would beat my mom it wasn't until my eighth grade that we moved and then of course last year we ended up here after my mom got a job here so yeah" I finish as Josh pulls up to my house " that's harsh I'm glad I jumped in" he smiles "I'm glad too" I unbuckle and shock him when I straddle him in the driver's seat " Scarlet what are you doing" he breathes " haha I'm showing you my gratitude" I smile leaning and press my lips to his for a passionate kiss. We sat there in the car kissing when my phone goes off surprising both of us " hello" I answer the phone "you better not be doing anything inappropriate in your deceased uncle's car" my mother yelled into the phone " no we're not" I sigh and open the car door climbing out. I hang up and waited for Josh " sorry if that was too much" I blushed " no it was fine it just shocked me I didn't think you would do that" he chuckles " well come on my mom is probably done with dinner" I pull him toward the door.

We were in my room after dinner working on some homework. Just so you all know I had told my mom about my dad so she was going to report him to the police later. But anyways we had Skype open with Elaina, Aiden and Andrew. " so what else do we need to work on" I ask looking through papers " we're done actually" Aiden cheers " so ve heard vhat happened after school.... Are you alright" Elaina asks " yeah I'm fine thanks to Josh" I look to Josh " well isn't that sweet" Andrew coos " yeah but I'm glad you're okay" Aiden pushes Andrew away " yeah but please stay away from that man you don't know what else he would do" Elaina warned " don't worry I told my mom and she is probably calling the police right now" I tell them " it's getting late I think we all should get to sleep" I yawn " yeah I'll see you guys later" Aiden ends the call " well what are you going to do... spend the night or head home" I swivel my desk chair around " I think I'll just head home" Josh stands " than I'll see you tomorrow" I give him a peck " yeah good night" Josh leaves. I really hope this dad thing ends quickly.
