You wanna know why I don't like heels?
I'm awkward...
I'm not talking about how I walk in the shoes
My walk is flawless
I'm talking about me
My personality
It just naturally radiates an aura of awkwardness
That can either be adorable or, well...
Out of place
And you know, I'm about 5'1...
And when you're short and awkward and it's not adorable
You can at least hide
But when wearing heels...
See, in heels you are on a pedestal
And I don't think the world
Would appreciate my glorified gawkiness
It's not that I can't walk in heels
'Cause I'll rock the walk but talk the awk-words just aren't my thing
Unless I put them on a page
But people aren't that keen on reading other people's souls
But I still believe in freedom of the sole
With or without platform shoes
I choose to be who I am
...even if I'm awkward in heels.
