“Open my eyes and let me see.”
Now I can see, but I’m not free enough
To see beyond the blinders
But I’m not a horse, I’m a human being
And who says horses must be controlled?
Yes, to be successful, I must look forward
But the beauty of life lies within the sidelines
The flowers, the trees, the birds that fly high
How dare you try to control free will!
What is it you don’t want me to know?
“Open my eyes and let me see.”
Some people choose to be blind; to be stupid
For stupidity is choosing ignorance
But I refuse to go there
I will search the clouds, if need be!
I will not be stupid
As long as I continue to ask,
And I am not afraid to ask,
“Why?”
