"Sam come'n eat"Merle said,I opened my eyes and saw Merle in the kitchen,I got up grabbing my gun and knife walking over to the bar sitting down,I sat my gun beside me on the table,Merle handed me a granola bar. I munched on it as he sat in front of me

"Do you think we're getting close?"I ask

"The prison?"
I nodded,"ye I think so"he said seeming distant

I sighed
"Do you really think we are Merle,we've been looking for almost a month now... how did you even know where to find your brother in the first place?"

" you 'member that girl Andrea who was always with the governor? Well she found him and the group an told me where they are" I said hands on the counter as he recollected the conversation with Andrea

"Yeah.. I remember her...Did you ever do somthing to her that would make her want revenge or anything "he thought for a moment

"I don't think so"

"Merle are you sure? What if she was lying! what if this prison doesn't even exist how do you know your brother isn't dead?! when was the last time you even saw him?"

"Well I haven't seen him since before I ran into you" he said

"Merle that been months now..... Merle.. we don't even know if he's alive."

"HE AINT DEAD! OKAY!" He shouted slamming his hand down on the counter. His head hung low for a few moments.

"You're right." I spoke softly.  Regretting that I pushed him " I'm sure he's alive and safe at this prison. and I'm sure we'll find him soon."

I walked over resting my head on his shoulder "I'm sorry I implied otherwise... We'll keep looking and we will find him. Together."

He wrapped an arm around my shoulders
" I never had any family other then ma brother. It's always been me and him, He's all I ever had. Till I met you 'course"

"You... think of me as family?"

" 'course! We've been through hell together plum! You've earned your spot as a Dixon" he said patting my back

"I've never had any family... ever " I tear sprang to my eye and my throat started to burn.

" yeah your like the daughter I never wanted" he
Chuckled trying to lighten the mood. " we're in the together. You and me"
