We walked upstairs to my room. I was still eating my croissant sandwich.
"If your room is pink and has girly stuff in it, I'm out!" Nathan whispered. I laughed loudly because of the way he said it.
"Don't worry, my room isn't pink." I answered. He dramatically sighed in relief.
I opened my bedroom door, letting Nathan enter my room. My room was blue, white and black. Only one thing in my room was pink. My 3rd grade poster my sister and I made when we were inspired by "Liv and Maddie". I walked up to the poster on my white wall and looked at it. "Sisters by chance, friends by choice". Memories felt good. Real good.
"You said your room wasn't pink!" Nathan suddenly fake gasped. I jumped at the sudden noise.
"Yeah, my room isn't pink. It's blue, white and black dumbo. Besides, this is the only thing that's pink." I replied.

I typed in my computer, putting every single word into my futuristic soon to be famous story. I turned off my laptop and put it in its case. I wiped my glasses. Then I put the computer in my backpack, after I checked if my books were in there. I walked downstairs, hearing the frying noises of my mom's cooking."Mom, is that eggs and bacon I smell?!" I yelled when I was halfway down the stairs.
"Yes, are you going to eat breakfast?!" She yelled back.
"Yeah!" Once I was all the way down the spiral steps, I jumped right into the kitchen.
My mom was setting down two plates for Kat and me. I grabbed one plate and served myself. My mom eats when we're at school. Oh, and to explain Kat about starting college and still living with us, she couldn't find a free apartment or any dorms available so we let her "rent" her room and Derek the guest room. But, but they have to pay for the bills. Hah, take that Kat!!! Okay, back to reality. I ate in silence. Once I was done, I put my plate in the sink, kissed my mom good bye and headed for school. As usual, I walked.
I looked through my social medias. On my panda photo on Instagram, I read the comments. 'Who cares if pandas are endangered?! If they die, I hope you die along with them!' Brittany said. Then another comment popped up. But this time, I liked this comment. 'I think I know where stupidity comes from. You Brittany. You and your fake friends aka bimbos.' Kat's message replied. I smiled, thinking about the last time Kat cared for me.
Flashback
(Michelle is 16)The pouring rain didn't make anything better for this roofless room. I kneeled down in the corner, not daring to make eye contact with him. I could tell his eyes were dark brown, raging with anger. I felt a jolt at my stomach, realizing he kicked me there. I yelped at the sudden sharpness of the pain. Tears released and he left, storming off with his boots making muddy foot prints. I cried several nights. The bruise near my stomach never healed. It just stayed there.

Kat found me in my room, pale and bony. She gasped at the sight and ran towards my white body, under the comfort of my blankets. She called for mom. But then realization hit her. Mom was at a book meeting. Kat hugged my petite figure and told me he wouldn't be back. My muscles managed to hug her back, and weakly smile.End of Flashback
I turned off my phone and put it in my pocket. I walked into school, shutting the doors behind me. I rounded the corner, finally reaching my locker. I put in the combination. When I opened my locker, I saw the not from my "secret admirer". I reached to grab it but someone beat me to the chase. An arm snatched the note out of my locker. I turned around to see Nathan reading it.
"Hi Nathan," I greeted with a smile. He handed me the note back with a smile on his face.
"Hey, I wanted to know if you and your friends wanted to sit with my friends and me." He shoved his hands into his pockets.
"Um well-" I got cut off.
"I'll sit with you!" Brittany faked a smile. "Sorry hun, maybe next time." Her smile turned into a smirk.
"Um sorry....." Nathan trailed off, waiting for her name.
"Brittany, your destiny!" She piped. She stepped in front of me and flipped her hair. In. My. Face.
"Um excuse me Brittany, but I thought you were a lady." I cut in, moving her besides instead of in front of me.
"I am." She sneered.
"Yeah, like a lady flips her hair in an innocent girl's face!" I shot back. She huffed and crossed her arms.
"Sounds like someone is desperate," she exclaimed purposely loudly. Eyes were converted to us.
"Well ha ha Brittany. I am laughing so hard. Not. Do I look desperate? No. Do I cake my face with make up? No. Do I wear my sister's clothes to be popular? No! And finally, do I dye my hair a fake blonde? No I fucking don't! But guess who does? Someone answer that for me!" I yelled. Selene, Ally and Ella stepped to the front.
"Brittany!" They said at the same time.
"But, I don't d-dye my hair-r blonde!" Brittany stuttered at the crowd. Everyone gave her an "do-you-think-we're-stupid" look. She screamed in frustration and walked down the hall. Nathan was on his phone, filming this whole thing. Once he was done, he put it away and smiled at me.
"So you wanna come sit with us?" He asked. I shrugged.
"Sure!"
