Fighting for my happiness

Chapter 3

                                                               Yvette's POV

I woke up with a huge arm around my waist thinking about everything that happened last night from the date to the mating. I slowly slipped out of bed to take a shower after a few minutes of watching my mate sleep. I turned on the water letting it warm up. I stepped in letting it wash over me when I heard a voice. 

 "Mind if I join you?" Carlton said pulling back the shower door. He was standing there naked and I couldn't deny him. 

"Not at all" I said smiling as he stepped in.

After our morning fun, we shifted into our wolves and went for a run. My wolf was medium sized with light brown fur while his was large and pitch black.

We played with each other for a while  before shifting back into our human form. We spent the next few days having dates and "fun".

After spending so much time together I decided to go home for a while since he had alpha business to attend to and I missed my place. We said our goodbyes but not before  giving each other a kiss. Later that day I called Stacy to see what see what she was up to.  She came over and we're headed to the mall.

At the mall, we got some Chinese food. We sat down to eat, but before I could I felt sick and rushed to the bathroom. Stacy came from behind and asked me if I was alright. I told her I was okay and she drove me home. 

The next few days I was feeling sick and Stacy stayed there through all of it. One morning she left and came back twenty minutes later with a bag. I opened it and was surprised to see a prenancy test. 

I took the test and sure enough it revealed that I was pregnant. I wondered how Carlton's gonna feel about being a father. I called him and waited anxiously as the phone started to ring.

"Hello"  he said from the other line.

"Hey, can we talk?" I asked nervously. 

"Sure, I'll be there in 15 minutes." I sat on the couch and waited on him.

It wasn't lon before I heard his car outside and looked out the window to see him walking towards the door. He came inside and sat on the couch.

"Baby talk to me" she said his voice full of concern. 

"Carlton, I'm..."

                                                          Carlton's POV

Our night last night was unforgettable. I woke and noticed she wasn't beside me so I looked around to see where she went until I heard the shower running. I went inside and asked if I could I join her.

She didn't seem to mind and we picked up where we left off. Afterwards, we shifted into our wolves and played for a while. Her light brown wolf looked cute and so small compared to my large black one.

The few days consisted on dates and sex. We had been spending so much time together I told her I had to get ack to training so she decided to go back to her place since she hadn't been there in a while. I planned on moving her in with me soon but I hadn't got around to tellng her yet. 

As the weeks went by I got a look of questions and people were starring at my mark. I went and had a talk with my parent and decided that I should introduce her to the pack since she was offically their Luna. 

I was about to call when she called me first.

"Hello" I said answering.

"Hey can we talk?" she asked and I could tell she was nervous. What was this all about?

 " Sure I'll be there in 15" I said hanging up and headinf over to her plcae. 

I knocked and she opened the door. I walked in and sat on the couch.

"Baby talk to me" I said wanting to know what was bothering her. 

"Carlton I'm pregnant"

I was shocked to say the least but more excited than anything. I grabbed her and spinned her around before kneelinfd down and placing my ear to her stomach. Sure enough I heard a heartnbeat. My wolf and I howled with joy, our first pup. Our mate was pregnant. 

I asked her if she was ready to meet the pack and she agreed. I called my parents and told them everything and they were happy for us. 

We got in the car and drove to my house. We got out and I brought her inside and introduced her to my parents. I had talked about about her constantly but this was their first time meeting her offically. Next, I introduced her to my brother Devin. She offered him a hug and he had a smirk on his face. The hug was a little too long for my liking so I growled at him to break it up. 

Then, there was my sister Ava. She said hello and walked out the door. Tex, Leon, and James said their hellos and goodbyes before leaving.

A few hours later we went outside where the pack was gathered and I introduced her as my mate. I also made the announcement that we were having a pup. Cheers and howls rang through the air. We were about to leave when my dad said he had an announcement.

 "In two months, I will be stepping down as alpha and my son will take over."  I was shocked by the news. Two shockers in one day; I couldn't believe it.

Two months later 

It was the night of the ceremony and Yvettes baby bump was huge. I was about to become Alpha offically and my mate was due soon. I couldn't be more excited. I was finally about to have it all.

I went to find Tex because I was making him my Beta. Tex and I were best friends since we were pups. Our dads were Alpha and Beta growing up.

I know him and my sister Ava will make the perfect Beta couple. I'm still surprised they're mates and even more surprised that they haven't had a pup yet.

"Are you ready?" he asked.

"It's a big responsibility, but I yeah I am" I told him truthfully. "What about you?" I asked. 

"Hell yeah!" he said and I just laughed and shook my head.

I got ready in my suit and tie and Yvette was dressed in a long maternity dress. We walked up the platform to  were my parents were waiting and accepted our roles completing the ceremony.

My dad announced us as the new Alpha and Luna and The new Beta and Beta female. During the celebration, I felt something wrong. I looked over to Yvette and she was in pain.

 "Carlton, I think my water's broke."  She said and I scooped her in my arms. All I could think was our pup was about to arrive.

                                                              Yvette's  POV

We rushed to the pack doctor while contractions began to feel more painful. The doctor ordered me to start pushing while I grabbed Carlton's hand. A few pushes later, I heard a cry. It was a beautiful baby boy with light-skin, black hair and green hazel eyes. They looked just like Carlton's.

I began to cry when the doctor  handed him to Carlton. The nurse asked for a name and I looked at Carlton. He named him, Nicholas Joseph Haynes. I watched as Carlton interacted with him. He smiled at Carlton and he smiled back at him. Carlton brought him to me and I got a first look at my baby boy.
