Chapter 7

I don't feel well today, but it's time that I uploaded. Been busy with work and school.

                                                          Carlton's POV

I woke up the next morning and went downstairs to make breakfast. After I finished making breakfast, I went upstairs to wake up Nick. I was so excited to have him back. I woke him up and we went downstairs to eat breakfast.

Once we were done, I asked Nick what he wanted to do today. He said he wanted to stay around the house and play with pack and me for a while. "Daddy?" he looked at me "Play with me?" he asked. Just make sure you stay away from the tickle monster. I told him as I started tickling him.

I took him outside where the pack members were. "Lil Man." Tex said while rubbing the top of Nick's head. Nick just laughed then he saw my parents. "Grandma!, Grandpa!" He hugged them. "We missed you so much." My mom replied.

"Now son, you have something to have to look forward to. " Dad said. "You never know what could happen. In the midst of darkness, good things happen.." He continued.

"How did you get him?" he asked me. His mom being a bitch as usual. I replied coolly. "Carlton Avery Haynes, watch your language!" my mom scolded. I just laughed. I'm the alpha, but she's still my mother.

I turned back serious to continue the conversation with my father. One of Ava's friends found him and the weirdest thing happened. When I caught her scent on Nick, my wolf was silent. He was weird. My dad's expression turned in an amused one. "Not all people get second chances." he says then walks away.

I had no time to react because my phone rung. I looked at who was calling and then laughed. It was Zeke, one of my best friends. He's alpha of a neighboring pack. Really good Alpha I must admit.

I answered the phone. "Zeke!" "Hey Carlton, I've heard about what happened to you lately, and I think it's time we had a dude's night out this weekend. He said. I see why not. I told him. "That's cool, it'll be just like old times." he laughed. I laughed and ended the call.

"Daddy can we go to the ride park?" Nick asked me. "Anytime" I knelt down and told him.

                                                              Sheri's POV

I just got out of class and I'm on my way to Ava's house for movie day. Reya and I are driving our cars. Reya's one of my closest friends. She may be short, but you don't wanna mess with her. All of my friends are wolves except me.

I got to Ava's a little after Reya did. She knocked on the door and Ava answered. "Welcome" she said and invited us in. It's been a while since we been to her house. We were almost to her room when Melanie said, "Is that a recent pic of Nick?" "Yeah" Ava said. "He looks just like Carlton." Reya said.

Who's Carlton? I asked Interesting name I thought. "He's my brother I was telling you about yesterday." Ava replied. Oh, remembering the conversation from yesterday. So I brought the movie. I continued. Once we got to Ava's room, she put the movie in.

We were laughing at Norbit. Reya laughed at the part when Rasputia thought the car was shinking. I laughed at the part she ran over the dog. We all laughed at the parts of the picnic and water park scenes.

When the movie was over, Ava said she wanted us to hang out this weekend. We all agreed then we left.

                                                         Carlton's POV

We got back home from the amusement park. We rode on rides, I won him a few more toys. He won a goldfish. "Let's call him Guppy." he smiled showing his teeth. He's growing his canines. He ran in the house.

"I got Guppy!" said Nick . "Who's Guppy?" Mom questioned. "My fish!" he said proudly. He won him I announced to the pack. They all cheered.

Nick and I went upstairs to our room when I smelt that scent again. Why the hell I keep smelling that scent and keep missing her? Where the hell is she? and Why my wolf is acting like this? I got a feeling I'll get my questions answered very soon.
