Chapter 19 - Mother Nature's Surprise (Pic of Tristen, Scar & Noah) --->

Pain. Pain. Pain.

Why oh why did I have to go through this.

Why me?

Why females?

Why?

Since yesterday's blackout last night, I woke up in a different room, all of which was white and clean.

Noah's face was the first in my view when I looked around, who looked so worried the lines on his forehead were prominent.

Turned out I was in hospital, on those horrible beds with light and itchy covers over me.

When the doctor came through, he informed me of what happened which wasn't good.

I fainted when the pain below my stomach took its toll on me. No thanks to Jace from yesterday, the idiot twin was right all along even when he was guessing.

I came on my period. Hurray - not!

You see my periods leave me weak with no energy and I can just about take the pain. I've been told because my body is slim, I will get the worst of the periods and that is something I can't take. Pain.

So here I am, dying over the pain in my back on my bed at home.

"Knock knock... You awake?" Noah's head poked through my ajar door.

A groan escaped my lips as I shuffled on the bed.

He took that as an invite and stepped inside with a sad smile.

"How you feeling Scar?" He asked caressing my head as he sat on the edge.

"Kill me!" I begged clamping my eyes shut.

He sighed and cupped my face in his large hands. "Hey don't say that. Everything will be okay, I promise."

Being on periods definitely gives me mood swings and I was getting sick of soothing words that don't make any difference at all.

"Don't make promises to me Noah." I snapped harshly turning my back on him.

It was quiet for a while; a small part of me felt really bad snapping at him like that. But the other half didn't bother. I was in pain; nothing they say will take it away.

"I'll be back in an hour when you're due for another tablet." Was all he said before slowly leaving my room.

If I could, I would swallow however many tablets I can just to ease the pain I'm going through. Damn the four hour gap between taking tablets!

Small noises came from the back of my throat as I shuffled endlessly over the bed. I didn't lay on my side too long because I can feel myself leaking which means yet another trip to the bathroom. Instead, I stayed still flat on my back, praying how long this torture was going to last.

I just came out of the bathroom when Leo occupied the bench near the window sill.

"Hey." He said quietly.

Catching his eyes, I nodded then frowned at the bed. I had enough of it and I've only been in it for five hours since I got back from the hospital.

Leo saw my frown and opened his arm wide for me. "Come here."

Padding across my room to him, Leo sat me on his lap, bending my legs as I leant into him.

His comfort was needed and I welcomed it immediately. The smell of his masculine scent relaxed my body when his hands held me close.
