You and L had to wake up early to go to the To-OH entrance ceremony. Not that either of you slept in the first place. Neither of you were happy about that, but it was needed. You and L already had intelligence over any schools curriculum, you both had to dumb it down just so no one would be suspicious of you.
You walked over to L's room and walked in, knowing you could come in. He was in the small kitchen, getting some lollipops, etc. He looked in your direction, "oh, hey Miyu" he said
"Hey Ryu, you ready to go?"
"Yeah"
You and Lawliet walked out of the building and to the black car out front, Watari was driving. It took about ten minutes to get there, and you and L were in a comfortable silence, until Watari broke it. " So, I should call you Miyu?"
You responded "yep, that would be my alias. I haven't seen you in a while, Watari"
"No. I've been doing some field work, I haven't been in the building since you got here."
"Oh, what did you find?"
"Nothing you two haven't found out yet."
You and L exchanged looks, and L spoke up. "There are three people tied for representative. Me, You, and someone else."
"Oh, Okay..."

You and L walked into the packed auditorium. You found a few seats at the front and sat down. You saw that you were sitting next to a certain brunette.
"Oh, Hey Miyu!" Light said, happily
"Hey" you said, dully
The principal walked onto the stage, and started talking
He talked for about 20 minutes, before he announced the representatives.
"Will Miyu L/N, Ryuzaki L, and Light Yagami come on stage please"
You, L and Light stood up, and walked on stage. You heard some other people comment on the three of you
"The one looks like a sheltered genius, but, the other two... I don't know"
Light walked up to the mic first, and gave his speech, then you and L went. You honestly found these speeches to be boring and generic, but this one just made you even more suspicious of Light. His personality alone was strange, to put it nicely. He was a nice guy, very smart, but he was hiding something. You knew it. You could tell Lawliet was suspicious of him too. As you all went to sit down, it seemed light was acting weird. He looked slightly afraid, like he just figured something out that he didn't like.
"Something wrong, light?" You ask
"Oh. It's nothing" he said
You raised an eyebrow at him, not believing it. You and L sat back down together, and waited for the end of the ceremony.

When the ceremony ended, you and L walked out of the building together. You got into the black car, where Watari was still waiting, and quickly got back to the headquarters.
"I have a plan" Lawliet said, quickly
"Me too, but what is yours"
"I need you to spend a day with Light, and I want you to tell him that you are M."
Your eyes widen, but you understand why he wants you to do that.
"It should be fine. Plus, he doesn't know our actual names."
"Yeah, I got it. I have to hang out with him tomorrow, and tell him who we actually are"
"Precisely"
