"So Light? how much do you know about this case?" you ask, leaning back in your chair slightly
he smirked slightly, but that went away quickly. "I don't know much, i just know the stuff that you made public." he said, looking like he was hiding something
you looked at L and smirked, he was almost too suspicious.
L butts in "So you don't know much then"
"I guess"

After talking to light for a while and talking about what everyone had to do today, you and L decided to talk to Soichiro Yagami about your plan.
"Excuse me?" Soichiro said, looking shocked
"listen, we aren't saying that Light is Kira, he is a suspect though. with you being an officer of the law, you should understand." you say, nonchalantly
"M has a very good point there, you should not be complaining" L adds
"Fine, you can do it" he said

you had placed cameras all around the Yagami household and a few others for about two weeks. both you and L new that light had found out about it, you just wanted to see how suspicious he was acting.
-Later That Day-
when Light got home, he grabbed a bag of chips and walked into his room. He started writing fairly quickly, looking down at the chip bag, everyone once and a while taking one. it was fairly normal, but you did notice some weird things. He was ducking down to look into the bag, and L noticed it too.
