Chapter 17

Misa arrived at the Yotsuba building with some other friends from the agency. The majority of suspicion on Matsuda was gone, considering the fact that Misa was there.

Now time for phase 2...

Matsuda would pretend to be drunk and fall from the balcony. About four floors down, there was a mattress to catch his fall. There will be a stand in on the ground to play dead. This will make all suspicion of Matsuda go away completely.

Then we would find out who Kira is.

Your p.o.v

"This is going exactly how we wanted, we don't even have to cut in" Lawliet said

"Yeah" you reply

After a moment of silence, you spoke again. "I'm going to the candy shoppe, you want the usual?"

"Yes, I would appreciate that."

"Alright"

By the time you had made it to the shop, L contacted you, saying the plan was successfully completed. 

The line moved, you going up and paying for the sweets you had.

You were almost amazed the plan worked, it wasn't even that good, but hey, we need anything and everything right now. Neither of us have ever worked on something so important. This case is seriously going to lead to a war, and the two best detectives in the world are stuck on one suspect.

Light.

Even though light is a suspect, you can't help but feel something towards him. Sympathy? Friendship? Do you have feelings for him?

But

You had real feelings for Lawliet. It took you a long time to notice this.  He knew everything about you, and you knew everything about him. You definitely have feelings for him. you might actually....Love him.

'I have to stop thinking about this' you say to yourself.

You head back to headquarters and start going towards the research room to give L his sweets, realizing you didn't get anything for Light.

Whatever.
