The Secrets of Perdido Beach

"WHAT? YOU LET SAM TEMPLE CHOOSE THAT BRAT OVER YOU ?!" Diana shouted at Taylor . Diana and Taylor were in the town hall. Taylor had just got back from the beach where Sam Temple had "friend zoned " her.
"I'm sorry . Diana I honestly did try." Taylor said with tears rolling down her face .

"It doesn't matter ." Diana replies and she wiped Taylor's cheeks . "We will show them ."

It had been a couple of days since Sam had kissed Mary . He thought of the days when Astrid was around, Astrid the genius , who could  always tell people answers. He sighed . He was walking through the square towards the day-care to help Mary with the prees. He arrived . Mary was waiting for him to turn up , because she flung the door open and wrapped her arms tightly around him .
"Hey you ." Sam chuckled .
"Hey ." Mary replied blushing, closing the door behind him .
"Right ... What needs doing today ?" Sam asked. Mary looked around . After scanning the place with her eyes she said ,"We need diapers and Groceries... I think that's it . John ." Mary called . John appeared at the kitchen door .

"What? Oh hey Sam ." John replied quite bitterly .
"I need you to look after the day care for me while Sam and I go shopping ."
"Oh ok , so I guess ....so that means you and Sam are a thing now . Right ?" John teased . Mary blushed ." Well we errr ..... I guess . Wait how do you know . You weren't on the beach with us ?" Mary said quite shocked .

" Oh no . Taylor popped in before she went somewhere . She seemed quite hurt then she teleported ." John explained .

"Right ok . Thanks John ." Sam said , taking Mary's hand and walked towards the door .

"Taylor . Can you see them ?" Diana asked . They were up at the bell tower . Taylor was looking for Sam and Mary ." No not yet but I will tell you when I do ." Taylor replied anxiously . Taylor wanted to be friends with Sam and because Mary was her close friend , she hated this . Spying on them, on Sam , on Mary , on Little Pete . She had to do it though . To keep her self safe . When Astrid and poofed , Taylor and Sam had dated for a little while . When they broke up Taylor was distraught . Diana took Taylor in and made her a deal .
She promised Taylor that if she came and worked for her and Caine , by the end of it she would have Sam Temple .
"I see them ." Taylor exclaimed through her binoculars .
"Perfect ." Diana cried ." Just wait a little longer then Sam Temple is all yours ."

Sam and Mary were holding hands as they walked to the grocery store , while Little Pete had his head stuck in his game.
"I swear . Does that game ever run out ?" Sam asked and Mary laughed .
" It must do at some stage ." Mary replied . Sam and Mary looked at each other and smiled . All of a sudden , Taylor popped in front of them which made Sam jumped . " Jesus Taylor. Can you not do that ?! " Sam said shocked .
" Yeah I'll warn you first but you know I can't be in two places at once eh ?" Taylor winked.
"What are you doing here ?" Mary asked worried .
"Look Mary . I know we have been close for 3 years but I feel like we're drifting apart . "
"W-what do you mean ? " Mary replied and Sam could tell that she was starting to panic . "
"I'm sorry but we can't be friends anymore ." Taylor explained as Mary started to cry . "Why ?" Mary asked as tears rolled down her face ." I'm sorry again. " Then Taylor disappeared .
Mary fell to the floor , shaking . Sam encouraged Little Pete over . He sat back down and soothed Mary . " Why would she do that?" Mary wept .
" I don't know but I know Taylor and she wouldn't hurt a fly . She wouldn't do that on purpose . Someone is controlling her and she doesn't know it ."
"Sam . Who would do something like that ? "
"I've got someone in mind ." Sam whispered, kissing Mary's hand .
"Who ?" Mary asked but instantly regretted it .
"Diana and Caine ." Sam replied .

Diana and Caine were sitting on the floor of the bell tower. Taylor appeared .
"Well ." Caine asked ." Did you tell them ?"
"Tell them what .." Taylor replied .
"Let me think .... That you don't want to be friends with Mary anymore ." Caine slyly retorted .
"How do you know that ?" Taylor asked slightly worried.
"Who do you think it was that told Diana to tell you to say that " Caine snarled .
"You did ." Taylor wimpered.
"Right listen you . You find out what Sam And Mary are up to but don't blow your cover . Good girl . Now go and visit the day care like a good girl ." Before he'd even finished his sentence Taylor was gone .
"What are we going to do with her ?" Diana said .
" I don't know but she's turning into a little madam and I don't like it ."

John was running around the day care trying to get everything in order . Mary and Sam left for the grocery store over an hour ago and they still hadn't come back . John had every right intention of going to look for them but then who would look after the kids ? All of a sudden Sam came in  , followed by little Pete , then Mary . John could that his sister was distraught so he asked Sam instead ."What happened ." John asked Sam .
" It's Taylor . She just dumped Mary as a friend . She said that she doesn't want to be friends with her anymore . " Sam explained .
" Oh Mary ." John exclaimed and went over to hug his sister . She struggled , but eventually she let John hug her . From the living room kids were screaming. Mary , Sam and John all ran from the kitchen . There she was. Taylor . The one who turned on Mary .
"YOU !" John screamed .
"John don't ." Sam said as he held John back as John lashed out at Taylor . Mary was in the corner cuddling the kids .
"Well well well. Look what we have here . Planning your wedding already are we ?" Taylor glanced at Sam and shot a dirty look at Mary .
"What do you want ?" Sam hissed .
" Oh Caine wanted me to drop by ."
"Why . So you can frighten the life out of the kids ?" Mary said .
"No ... But I can if you want me to." Taylor laughed and winked at Mary .
"No . I don't want that ." Mary whispered as she walked over to Sam .
" Well in that case I will just have to take your sweet little brother with me then ." Taylor grabbed John.
"NOOOOOO!" Mary roared  but before she even finished, Taylor and John disappeared .

Mary stood dumbfounded at the place where Taylor and John had disappeared a few moments ago. Little Pete , yet again , engrossed in his game . " That bitch!" Mary wailed as she fell to the floor. Sam ran up to her and hugged her tight . Sam Temple, school bus Sam, firefighter Sam . All those names he had been earnt by being a hero . Now, staring down at Mary he felt helpless.
"Hey it's gonna get better princess I promise ." He whispered as he stroked Mary's hair.
" How is it Sam ?" Mary sobbed ." Mom and dad gone and now John . I'm supposed to protect him , now look."
"Mary. None of this is your fault." Sam replied still hugging Mary . Brianna appeared in the doorway .
"Hey Bri . What's up ?" Sam asked .
"Hey Sam . Mary . Look I've just seen Taylor heading out of town towards the Clifftop with John ." Brianna explained .
" Well . If they are then we're gonna go and save my brother ." Mary replied .
"No Mary . It's too dangerous . I've already lost Astrid . I'm not loosing you too ." Sam exclaimed .
" Well it's either stay here and let my brother die , or go and save him ." Mary  said, adrenaline pumping through her body .
"Right ok . We need people . Bri . Can you round up Dekka , Lana , Ed , Roger and Quinn for me ?" Sam replied . Before Bri could answer she was speeding along the highway.
"Sam . What are we doing ?" Mary whispered .
" We're gonna save your brother ." Sam smiled and kissed Mary softly on the lips .

John was squirming . Taylor had grabbed him at his arm . Every time he moved , it felt like a Chinese burn was penetrating his skin . " Stay still squirt ." Taylor spat .
"Where are we going ?" John asked .
"To the lake . I've got someone who wants to meet you .

Diana and Caine fell silent . Taylor had been gone a few hours but they didn't know what was happening . "Caine ." Diana said as she looked out of the window ." Look!" Caine came and stood next to her at the window . "It's Brianna . It looks like she has got some followers . Come on lets go to the lake . That's where Taylor will be heading anyways ." Caine smirked . Diana smiled and pecked him on the cheek as they exited the bell tower .
