Moonlight streamed through a small gap between the brush. It illuminated a cave, the entrance smothered with thick vines.

A small cat-like creature sat at the cave entrance, watching the outside world through the gap. Its fur was washed in silver. It yawned, showing a row of small, sharp teeth. It was watching the sky, keeping its family safe.

A small cry echoed through the dark cave. A child, only a few weeks old, yelled out for its mother and father who lay in a bed next to him. A figure sat up in the bed, getting to his feet.

His four blue eyes shone in the darkness, the same colour as the pendent around his neck.

He shushed the child, picking it up and patting its back. The child whimpered. Its father put it back down, kissing its forehead.

"Shush, my child. The suns are sleeping, and we wouldn't want to wake them, would we?"
