Abrial Radkye is 16 and never believed in the whole 'age is nothin' but a number' til she met someone who showed her something different.
After moving down with her 20 year old brother, Abrial soon developed a slight crush on one of his friends, there's just one problem: he's 19. Abrial's brother, Jackson, is supper over protective of his baby sister and doesn't want anyone talking to her, including his friends.
Abrial is always told to stay upstairs when his friends are there or doing his 'business' as Jackson calls it. Abrial doesn't know what he does to afford the 2-story house he lives in, but she does have a idea. He won't tell her the whole story because he keeps saying he's 'trying to protect' her.
