Chapter Fifteen

Abrial's POV

I looked up at him and then back at the ground, "Abrial, you cant.."

"I can't raise a baby!" I shouted. I was becoming frustrated.

"So you're gonna kill it?" he asked. "There's a better way to be stupid."

"I'm not stupid, I'm just confused! I don't know what to do... What if I am? Ray.. I'm scared.." I just started crying, "I cant believe I even thought about killing my baby!" I felt Ray's arms around me. "I'm sorry."

"You shouldnt be scared. I'll be with you the whole time." he smiled and kissed my forehead.

"I love you."

"I love you"

"I need to stop crying.." I wiped my eyes, " I need to go to wal-mart..somewhere.. I need to know, Ray. I have to know now."

"Are you sure?" he asked. I nodded my head.

"I'm scared, but I'm sure.."

"Alright.." he ran his hands down his face and popped his neck, "I'll put a shirt on."

The drive to the store was unbelievably tense. I couldn't do anything but hold Ray's hand. From parking, to walking into the store, to finding the pregnancy tests.

"There's so many.." I just stood there staring at them all.

"Get the one that just says it, cause my dumbass aint good with instructions."

"You're not dumb, baby." I slightly chuckled before picking up the pregnancy test I decided to get, "you have to pay for it."

"Why me?"

"Cause... I don't wanna feel weird. Everyone's gonna stare at me."

"How you think it's gon' look when I go up there paying for a pregnancy test, Abrial?"

I stared at him with those puppy eyes that had worked on Jackson so many times, "Fine." he scuffed, "be happy I love you."

"I love you." I said, kissing his cheek and standing there while I lightly pushed him to the counter.

The lady looked at the test, then at him, then back at him, then back at the test, "are you sure this is what you needed?" she said, ringing it up and looking at him funny.

"Is there a problem, ma'am?" Ray asked, "a man can't buy a pregnancy test?"

"It's just kind of weird." she said. She was an older lady. "Really weird."

I paced back and forth in Ray's bathroom for a while, about ten minutes actually. I was so nervous, I was trying not to cry, but I couldn't help it. I was scared.

"Baby stop crying.." Ray said, rubbing my shoulders, "you know I'll support you, you don't have to worry about a thing.."

"I'm not worried about that.. I'm worried about what my dad's gonna say.." I sighed, "what's he gonna do? Goodness, what's Jackson gonna do? He still thinks I'm a virgin!"

"You definitely not that." he chuckled, I glared at him. "Sorry, not the right time."

"Ray, this isn't funny.." I said, in a serious tone.

"I'm sorry.." he said, and then the timer went off. "Go ahead.."

"I'm scared.." I said, standing up and fiddling with my fingers. "I'm really scared.."
