I was on the first plane back to Jackson's. My dad understood, cause when my mom died he wasn't able to be there for her until later. So he wasn't gonna let that happen to me.

Dear God, if Ray died I don't know I could be normal again. Of course we had our differences, but he was the father of our child, he couldn't die.

His dumbass, why would he drink and drive, what the hell was wrong with him.

So many things were going through my head as my dad and I drove to the hospital Ray was at.

I went to the counter, telling the lady at the desk who I needed to see and she told me what floor he was on and the waiting room everyone was in.

I still didn't know his condition.

"Where is he?" I asked, frantic not even being the word to describe how I was feeling. Everyone turned around and looked at me. "Stop looking at me and tell me where the fuck he is!" I shouted, and now had a couple of other people's attention.

"Abrial what the hell are you doing here?" Jackson asked, walking up to me, "it's not a good time."

"Look." I stared at him, "I'm 5 months pregnant, just took a 4 hour flight sitting beside a man that weighed at least 400 pounds, I'm craving the strangest thing and I haven't eat since yesterday night. Now tell me." I pulled him closer to me by my shirt, "where the fuck is he?"

"He's in a coma." Jackson stated. I just let go of him and swallowed hard.

"How bad is it?"

"He broke 4 ribs, his leg, fractured his wrist and has a concussion."

"What was his blood alcohol level?"

"Abrial.."

"What was it?" I said, seriously.

"0.93."

"Where is he?"

"They can't do surgery on him now."

"Take me to him."

"I'm not letting you see him like that.. He has a breathing tube, Abrial."

I pushed passed him and walked over to Craig, "take me to him."

"No."

"I'm not screwing around!" I shouted. My heart started beating fast. "Take me to see him!"

"I'm not doing it Abrial. You don't see to see him like that."

"Screw you." I pushed passed him and walked to the nurses station, "I need to see Rayan Lopez."

"I'm sorry I can't le-"

"Look here lady. That boy is one of the most important people in my life right and he's the father of my child!" I yelled, "I need to see him!"

She looked at me, sighed, nodded her head, and then pointed down the hall a little, "room number 326."

"Thank you." I breathed and walked down the hall.

I was not prepared for what I saw.

He was just laying there. His leg was wrapped in a temporary cast and so was his arm. I couldn't see his stomach cause the blanket covered him.

I heard machines beeping and saw a breathing tube down his throat and I thought I was gonna sob my eyes out.

Which I did begin doing once I sat down.
