It was the first day of school and I was nervous to be there. I was happy that I didn't have to go to that private school, but at the same time, the school I was going to seemed kinda ghetto. I wasn't ghetto, I was a sweetheart;)
As I got dressed, my phone started vibrating. I glanced over to it, seeing a had a message from Darryl.
"Still not talking to me?" it read. I exited out of it and kept getting dressed. I was still mad at her for literally just walking in my house and fuckin' my brother on the spot.
My phone vibrated again. I looked over an saw I had a message from Ray. I smiled, opening it and seeing the message read. "Have a good first day of school, baby. See you when you get out ♥" it read. I was like... really started to like this boy.
"Abrial! Come on! We're gonna be late!" Jackson shouted from downstairs.
"I just gotta do my hair!" I said, grabbing my backpack and walking to the bathroom. "Okay, let's just go with a ponytail.. Curly ponytail? Perfect!" I said, getting my straighteners and curling irons plugged up.
Carefully curling and straightening section after section, it took me about 30 minutes to do. "ABRIAL COME ON!"
"Cominggggg!" I said, grabbing my phone and purse and leaving the bathroom. "How I look Jack?"
"Perfect." he said, giving me a hug. "Ugh, Abs, you're growing up so fast."
"I'm only a Junior.."
"And next year you're gonna be a senior and then college and .. damn.."
"I'll still be here, Jack. I'm not goin' nowhere." I said, kissing his cheek. "Off to school big bro?"
"yeah, I got a feelin' imma fight a nigga this morning.." he shook his head as he grabbed his keys and we headed out.
Getting to the school, it was nicer than I thought. Everything seemed to have been recently remodeled and you could smell the paint through the hallways as Jackson walked with me to the hallway.
"Damn.." Jackson said, almost breaking his neck looking at the various senior girls that passed by.
"Jackson.." I glared at him. "Find your chill."
"Abrial!" I heard a familiar voice shriek. I turned around, seeing Darryl. Damn, she really disgusted me.
"Ugh, bye." I said, beginning to walk away, but she pulled me back.
"Come on Abby, I said I was sorry..."
"How are you sorry for fuckin' my brother when you legit knew him for 10 seconds? Yeah right. I thought you were my friend!" I yelled in a whisper.
"I am your friend!"
"yeah, no." I said, walking away towards the break area. I saw a bunch of kids everyone, just talking. I decided to take it upon myself and sit at a table where no one was at.
I pulled out my phone and started texting Ray because he was the only person I wanted to speak with at the moment.
"Babe..."
"Wassup? How your first day going?"
"I wanna go home."
"ahaha, you can't, not yet."
"Can you come and get me?"
"Nah, you gotta stay at school babe."
