Chapter 5. La Vie Est Remplie Avec Des Orages

The next day was Adrien's day off so I had to work on my own with no one to talk to, so I took my green iPod shuffle and put on some music, I was focused on my work and wiggling my butt from time to time and jumping, and headbanging, suddenly after combination of headbanging and jumping I found myself in front of Parker, he just stared at me with an unreadeable expression.

"What?" I asked taking off an earbud.

"You finished the wall." He stated.

"Yes."

"You work fast."

"Unlike you I'm used to do the hardwork." I said and he let out a humourless chuckle.

"Have you already gotten the painting?" He asked, and to be honest his evasion to bicker with me caught me off guard.

"No."

"I was going to buy, you can come with me and buy some."

"Umm, yeah, why not? Thanks."

Parker and I left the château on his ultra expensive car, we were silent all the way to the small town; once there we bought the paint still not even daring to exchange a single word, much less a glance, I just didn't knew why he was being nice with me, he was never nice with me; maybe he was trying a different tactic, maybe he thought that if he was nice I would sell him my half, as if.

"Can you slow down?" I asked for the gazillion time.

Since the moment Parker had turn the engine on he had been going on such speed it made the skin of my cheeks to go all the way back to the posterior part of my neck, I had been too naïve, thinking he would try being nice with me, he was as evil as always, just a bit subtle about it.

"What's wrong, hummingbird, afraid of speed?" He asked and I gasped at the mention of the nickname.

"Stop the car, I'm getting out!" I yelled too pissed off; but Parker just accelerated.

"You can't get out, it's pouring."

"I rather end up all sick than to spend another second on this car with you."

"So the hummingbird is scared."

"Stop calling me that!"

"Why?" He pushed.

"Because I'm telling you!" I felt like pushing his head into the wheel and knock him uncouncious, but that would be dangerous to me.

"But you sound like a hummingbird, have you ever heard them when they feel trapped? They do a very unsettling noise, just like you right now."

"You sound like a serial killer."

"Maybe I am."

"Definetly you're because you're gonna kill me if you keep- stop! Stop driving like that!"

"Or what? He grinned maliciously."

"Or I'll- oh mY GOD, WE'RE GOING TO DIE, STOP, STOP, STOOOOOOAAAAAAH!" Parker had lost the control of the car and we were all over the place circling and I just had no idea what was going on; we ended up on a side of the road and the car was deep in the mud once again.

"Thanks mr. Douche." I said once everything was quiet again.

"You distracted me, it was your fault."
