Seth's Point Of View:
I went back into Sky's room when he stopped crashing. This is not good, at the rate he is going, he isn't going to make it, but I can't think of that. I have to stay optimistic. Dr. Stevens walked into the room with Sky's chart.
"Ah, Seth, there you are. I heard his surgery went well. That's good, that means he won't get an infection in his abdomen." She said to me, smiling.
"He started to crash again, just before you came." I told her pulling a seat up next to Sky. I did my usual routine. I grabbed his hand, and placed my head next to him. I've been at the hospital for a long time with no sleep. Even if I got the chance to sleep, I wouldn't. I was to worried about Sky.
"He started to crash again?! And no one paged me?! I'll be back!" She yelled as she left the room. Seems like someone is in trouble. She came back a couple minutes later.
"Seth, the social workers are letting some of Sky's friends see him. They asked if you could stay, as a precaution, and make sure nothing goes wrong."
"I'm not planning on leaving anyways...." She just nodded and was about to leave, when she turned around.
"You know, I can just ask the nurses to being in a cot for you. Usually they have one of the parents stay with the patient, but I can make an exception with you." I looked at her and nodded, smiling. She left and the nurses came in a couple minutes later with a cot. They set it up next to Sky's bed, and they left the room. I didn't move to the bed, I just stayed where I was, with my head next to Sky. I heard a knock at the door and groaned. What now, can't I just be with my boyfriend in peace.
"Hey... how is he?" It was Emma and my mom. I just shook my head and looked away. Emma came up behind me and started to hug me.
"It's going to be ok... You are probably the reason he is still fighting so hard." Cristina, Lily, Violet, and Morgan walked in. I was relieved Morgan didn't bring Jasper.
"Where's your boyfriend, Morgan?" I asked in a harsh tone.
"Huh, I dumped him when I found out what he was about to do to Sky." I looked at him, confused. He saw this and continued.
"I heard you, that day in school, yell 'get off him' and when I went inside to investigate, he was on the ground. I put two and two together, and he didn't deny it. He said he would have him one day, because Sky was..." He looked at Emma then back to me. "Let's just say he said Sky was his..."
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to—" I started, but he stopped me.
"It's alright, I'm over him anyways." He said as everyone circled around Sky. If he was to wake up right now, he would probably freak out. They all just stared at him sorrowfully. No one said anything until Dr. Stevens came back.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Isobel Stevens." She stated going up to Sky to examine his leg. "I'm just going to see a quick thing on his leg."
She warned us that she was gonna take off the splint and unravel the bandages, and it wasn't going to be a pretty sight. Everyone looked away but Cristina and me. You could see the bone sticking out of the leg. It luckily stopped bleeding awhile ago, but it still didn't seem like his leg would be fine. She put on new bandages and the splint and turned to talk to us, but mainly me.
"His leg isn't doing so good. The bleeding has stopped, yes, but it could get easily infected if we don't fix it quick enough."
