Sky's Point Of View:
May 2, 2006 (5 years old)
I walked around my house with nothing to do.
"Mommy, do something with me!" I yelled at her, while she was doing something in the kitchen.
"Can't sweetie, I'm washing the dishes," she yelled back to me. "Plus, you should be getting ready for bed, you have school tomorrow."
"But I don't want to go to bed!" I yelled as I ran around the house. "See, I'm not even tired." All of a sudden, something lifted me up from behind!
"Let go of me you monster!" I said jokingly, hitting my dad's chest with my elbows. He carried me to my bed and dropped me onto it. He then lifted his hands with two fingers pointed out. He was about to start tickling me.
"Wa-wait! I'm not ready! AHH!" I started to scream as he dug his fingers into my sides and kept moving them to my stomach back to my sides. I kept trying to move his hands away, but he didn't budge. Suddenly, he stopped and kissed me on the head.
"I love you, Sky."
"I love you too, Dad."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Seth's Point Of View:
"He is stable for now, Seth. You might want to keep an eye on him." Dr. Stevens came out of Sky's room, after reviving him for the third time.
"Look, I know this is hard for you to hear, but Sky might not be able to pull through this." She started to tell me, already tearing up, "It is already hard for a person who coded once to recover, and with him coding three times in the past three hours, is a bad sign." I rested my head in my hands. I started to cry, I couldn't lose him.
"I have called social services and the police about his parents, and they are being questioned as we speak, and the only one we can fully trust is you," she said, and I had a terrible feeling I knew where this was going. "Should we stop taking extraordinary measures to keep Sky alive?"
"No," I said harshly, "you do everything in your power to keep him alive." I started to get up to go back and see him. I pulled up a chair and sat next to him. I looked around at all the get-well cards and gifts the others had brought. I was still the only one allowed to see him, even though Sky told us his parents were the abusers. I grabbed his hand and rested my head next to him.
"Sky, please, I know you are in there. Please... fight to live...fight for me."

October 26, 2008 (7 years old)
"Mom, Dad, I would like you to meet Rosie." My mom and dad looked up from their work in our house.
"Well, hello there Rosie, are you Sky's new girlfriend?"
"Yes I am!" Rosie yelled with excitement.
"Sky's got a girlfriend! Sky's got a girlfriend!" My older and younger brother taunted me. God, sometimes I wish they would just die. I just glared at them, red in the face.
