3 a.m.I reached on my nightstand for my vibrating phone and put it to my ear.
"Yo?" I said, I know my voice all fucked up.
"Rise and grind shordy, we got business to take care of," was all Kilo said before hanging up.
I didn't complain when him or Kash called me this early. I know there's money to be made, you will never catch me complaining about having to get up early for work.
I ran my hands through my hair and got up to brush my teeth and shower.
When I finished my hygiene, I got dressed in some black true religion jeans, the shirt to match, with some black tims and a black bandana around my head.
I tucked my phone in my pocket and sprayed some cologne on me.
"Nala..." I said, gently slapping the side of her face.
"Hmm," she said, her eyes still closed.
"I'm about to leave," I said.
"Okay," she responded.

"What's poppin 5," Kilo dapped me up.
"Ain't shit, ready to get this money," I responded.Kilo smirked at me, "I fucks wit you shordy, I like your mindset," he said. "You don't complain about having to get up early and work. You thinking about getting money,"
"I fucks wit you too fam," I said smiling.
"That's nice to know," he said. "But check this, I gotchu something," he walked off but soon came back with a small box from Gucci. He handed it to me,
It was a sliver watch with black diamonds encrusted in it.
"It's dope," I said.
"I know shordy, that's why I got it," he laughed.
"Now let's get this money shordy,"

2 p.m.
I'm tired as fuck and hungry. Kilo was on the phone talking to his baby mama about something. I was sitting on the hood of his car waiting patiently. That is, until I saw something I liked.
She's cute, nice curves, pretty eyes and long red hair and she's light skin. "Shordy," I called. Her head snapped in my direction, she rolled her eyes at me and continued walking.
I got off the car and chased after her.
"I was talking to you," I said,
"I got a nigga," she said, I could tell she isn't from here by how she sounds. She has a cute ass accent, but Nala's is better.
"How you know I was bout to spit game to you? Maybe you dropped something," I said looking at her body.
"You have no respect for a woman do you?" she said."How old are you?" I asked, ignoring what she just said.
"21, too old for you," she said.
"Baby age ain't nothing but a number," I said smirking.
She laughed, showing her perfect pearly white teeth. Damn she's beautiful.
"That was cute," she said, still laughing.
I licked my lips, "Shit ma, you by far the cutest thing I done seen since I got out here,"
I made sure I said that, cause I woke up to Nala's sexy ass.
"You must do this a lot, what's your name?" she asked,
"Jordan, what's yours?" I asked,
"Brenna," she responded.
"See, you even got a pretty name," I smirked. "Gimme your number so we can link up later," I said.
"How about you give me your number and I'll call you when I need you," she responded.
"You better call me tonight," I responded.
Nala
I watched my mom cry, the only thing I could do was rub her back and wipe her tears away. I've never seen my mother cry like this.
It was late, even though I told my dad to rot away in a trap house I didn't mean it. I was just angry, I love him.
"Where's dad?" I asked,
"He's..." I waited for her to finish her sentence, "He's dead, he overdosed on heroin,"
I didn't want to believe it, shit I couldn't believe it. Everything I said to him the last night. I feel so bad, he did exactly what I told him to do all because of my stupid ass attitude.
Had I not told him to kill his self he would be here right now.
"Everything is gon be alright baby," my mom assured me.
......
"Nala, why you crying? What's wrong?" Jordan asked,
"My dad died,"
She didn't say anything, she just pulled me into her while I cried.
"It's all my fault, if I wouldn't of told him to kill his self," I said,
"Don't think about it like that, it was bound to happen baby," she said,
She held me tighter as more tears soaked her shirt.
"It's gon be okay baby," she said, looking deep in my eyes.
"I'm gon be here every step of the way. I promise I am,"
And I believed her because she hasn't given me a reason not to.
