Abby's POV

I didn't know what was going on until the news came on.
"A deadly virus has leaked on milk causing headaches, nausea,fever.." and other symptoms we couldn't hear because the tv had static, but the last thing we heard was lock your windows, doors and avoid the city, then the lights went out.

We heard a loud siren outside and we tried to see what it was and it was the police. They had crashed into our neighbors house

Dad's POV

"This is what we're gonna do, we are gonna roam the city and try to find people who can probably help u-" but he was immediately cut off by my mom.

"Are you out of your mind, we are not risking the lives of our children just to go out there and try to find help!" Mom said back at him

"What other choice do we have?, huh, I want you guys save"

Eric's POV

"Guys enough!!" I think we should go to my friend's house, he has a big house for all of us and he texted me a couple of minutes ago saying he was safe with his family "

"Your friend's house? Your friend's house? This isn't time for any games, we need to think before we get found by those fuckers outside!" Dad said. "Dad, his dad is a cop, he could probably take us somewhere safe"

Abby's POV

I knew who he was talking about. He was talking about going to Ethan and Grayson's house. I haven't been to there house in a long time, we used to hang out a lot and I used to have feelings for Ethan ever since he catched me from falling from a tree.
We stared at each other's eyes and he kissed my cheek.
"I think that's a great idea" Mom said. "We can grab all the things we need and head to their house" mom said with hope.

Dad looked really pissed of but he started to get his things and so did everyone.

"Dad what are you doing?" He had a crate filled with guns and knives. "Here take this" he handed me a pistol and a knife. "What, no, I'm scared".

I really wasn't because when Alice, Eric, and I were little, my dad would take us into these woods and he made us shoot these bottles of wine.

I took the gun and knife and he started to give each of my family members a gun

Alice's POV

"I don't know if I wanna do this dad" I was scared thinking if something happens to my family. "We'll be fine as long as we stick together" Mom said.

Dad opened the door and we saw a living hell come to life. It was a horrible thing, there were people on the floor dead, car crashes, and fire. We got in my mom's car and dad started to drive slow so "they" wouldn't come close to us.
The Dolan's house wasn't far from our house but we were driving really slow.
Mom turned on the radio but all we heard was static.

We kept driving looking outside then we see a mob of people just standing in the middle of the street.

Abby's POV

"Dad what are we gonna do?" I whispered. They started to run towards the car growling and screeching. "GET OUT OF THE CAR!!" DAD yelled. We got out and we started to run to their house

"Dad, what are you doing!?!" He stayed inside the car driving towards "them" and killing most of them.

Seconds later we heard a loud crash. Nun of them were alive and I saw...

"DAD NOO!!!" I looked at his dead body that was through the window of the car.

"Oh god" Mom said sobbing.

"W-we have to keep going guys" said Eric trying to hold back his tears

We turn around and saw most of "them" coming back for us.

Eric's POV

I can't believe dad is dead.
"Oh shit,we have to run!!"

My mom and I started to shoot them while running.

"There, isn't it that house?" Abby said.

"Yeah, just bang on the door!!" I yelled at her.
