CHAPTER 21

It's Monday.

I woke up and get ready for school.

I went downstairs and ate my breafast.

I walked to my school today. I don't feel like riding the car right now. I need some fresh air.

I arrived at the school early. As usual, I went to my locker and prepared my things.

While I was walking down the hallway, I saw Angela and she walked to me.

"Hi Kristine Lee!", she greeted me.

"Hello Angela! How's your weekend?", I asked her.

"Quite boring actually", she said. "Hey, mind to tell me about the Julie-thing?"

"Okay.", I answered. "Where will I start?"

"It's up to you", she answered.

"Okay... Me and Julie are bestfriends. In the orphanage. We were so close then until one day, she got adopted. She's always calling at the orphanage, to talk to me. When I got adopted, we lost our communication. She gave me her number through phone. I wrote it in a piece of paper. Surprisingly, the piece of paper got lost. I searched and searched for it but I really couldn't find it.", I said, ending my story.

"So... You asked me for her number right?", Angela asked.

"Yeah.", I answered.

"You called her? Did it went well?", she asked.

"Yup, I did called her. No, It didn't went well. I don't know. She's like, avoiding me. Or maybe she totally forgot about me", I said.

"Oh.", she answered. "Are you okay?"

"Yep. I'm okay.", I said, half smiling.

"Oh c'mon! Cheer up girl!", she said.

"Okay. Okay.", I answered.

*Ringgggg....*

"Guess I'll see ya later then?", she said.

"Yeah. See ya later!", I said.

"Smile, okay? It fits you", she said, smiling. I smiled back. I went on my first subject.

At luch time, I searched for Angela.

I couldn't see her.

She's maybe doing her extra co-activities.

I sat at a table there. I grabbed my luch and begun to eat it.

A few minutes later, someone sat beside me.

I didn't bothered to look.

It's Angela. Is there somebody else?

"Hey", the person beside me spoke.

IT IS NOT ANGELA!

"Hi, Luke", I replied awkwardly.

"Why are you here alone? Where's your friend?", he asked.

"Maybe doing her extra co-activities, I don't know.", I answered.

"Oh.", he said.

He took a bite of his burger.

"Uhhh... Why are you here?", I asked.

"To eat. And I'm your friend right? Or am I not?", he said,

"Of course you are! What I mean is, aren't you supposed to eat your *cough* eat with your girlfriend?", I asked. (Did ya see what I did there? Haha)

"GIRLFRIEND?", his eyes widened. "I don't have a girlfriend!", he said. Nearly choking his burger.

OHHHH... So that girl is a 'little' liar?

"I thought Stacy's your girlfriend", I said.

"You mean 'EX'. Yep, she's that desperate. She can't move on. She's still into me. Well, I can't blame her. I'm hot and handsome, I'm a total package",  

he ended up smirking.

WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH... This guy's a bit egotistic, isn't he? Haha.

"WOAH", I said.

"Was it the reason why you've been avoiding me these past few days?", he asked.

"UH. NO. NO.", I lied. "I'm just... Not feeling well these past few days... And I'm not avoiding you", I answered.

"Okay.", he said. "Go finish your food now. Time is running"

"Okay Dad", I aswered.

We bot laughed.

Break's done. He escorted me to my next subject.

Luckily, Stacy's not there. At least now, I know the truth.

School day's done.

I'm happy that me and Luke are okay now.

As for Julie, not yet. But I'll find ways.

I hopped in to our Range Rover. I waved goodbye to Angela. Yep. I finally found her. Mrs. Wilson asked for her help that's why she wasn't there at lunch time.

The car finally arrived at the house.

I opened the and greeted by Maria.

I smiled back at her.

I went upstairs and into my bedroom. I dropped my bag at the bed and started doing my homeworks. Yep. Imma good girl as you can see O:)
