It's a saturday. Means, free day. Kristine Lee hang around all day at the house and talked to the boys. She remembered Julie again then she asked Angela for her number. She dialed the number and called it. She answered.
CHAPTER 20
Ring... Ring... Ring...
"Hello?", Julie said.
"Hhh-hey", I answered, stattered.
"Can I know who is this?", she asked.
TUMP... TUMP.. TUMP... My heart's beating so fast! UGH!
"It's Kristine Lee, Julie", I said.
She didn't answer for a while.
"Uhm... Sorry. I don't know you. Bye", she said.
Then, she ended the call.
WHAT THE HECK?! My bestfriend forgot all about me? But we promised each other!
I breathed for a while and relaxed.
-Julie's POV-
I'm just hanging around at my room when suddenly, my phone rang.
I heard my ringtone blasting all over my room.
I grabbed my phone and answered it.
"Hello?", I answered.
"Hhh-hey", someone said. I guess she's a girl. I wonder who is it.
"Can I know who is this?", I asked the anonymous girl.
"It's Kristine Lee, Julie.", she answered.
SOOOO... It's Kristine Lee!
After all this time, she's NOW calling me?
She didn't even bother to send me any single letter. ANY.
I paused for a while, then answered.
"Sorry. I don't know you. Bye", I answered.
I know I'm being a coward but I can't really think of ways to avoid her. I'm still not ready to talked to her.
-Kristine Lee's POV-
She really forgot about me?
or
She was just avoiding me?
What did I ever did wrong to her?
I set aside all of my thoughts. I need to focus.
GUESS WHAT I'M DOING!
I'M STUDYING!
And the worst... ALGEBRA!
Ugh!! I don't even know why Math exist!
I went to Maria and asked her if she know the solution, and she did!
She taught me the solution and got it quickly.
Guess Maria's an effective teacher, isn't she?
I finished my work in an instant. Thanks for the help of Maria.
I went to my bedroom and layed on the bed. I'm tired. Math is really tiring. I wonder why Julie ignored me...
And then, I fell into a deep dreamless sleep.
