It's my first day in my freshmen year and my previous class just ended. I kept my things in my tote bag and stood up to leave the room. I still have my last class to attend before my first day of college ends.
"Hey, did you also apply for marketing management?" One of those guys from the same class approached me and asked me in a friendly manner. He's way taller than me and he got this smile that when it flashed his eyes will instantly disappear.
I nodded as I left the room with him.
"So, you are Cha Eun, right?" I slowly nodded and smiled.
"And you are?" I asked and looked at him. He pursed his lips and stopped walking.
"I'm... Choi Bo Min I am in my sophomore year." He said and offered his hand for a handshake, I chuckled and shook hands with him.
"We still have fifteen minutes before the next subject. I think we should grab some coffee first before we attend the next subject?" He asked. I was about to say yes but then I heard Hyewon's voice called my name.
"Or maybe not." Bo Min said while looking at the direction where Hyewon's voice came from.
"I'll see you there." I simply replied. He nodded and waved at me before walking away.
I looked back and I saw Hyewon with her boyfriend Hyunbin and Yujin with her boyfriend Seyoung. Hyewon and Yujin bid their goodbyes to their boyfriends as they both ran towards me and I spread my arms to welcome them with a hug.
"Yah! You already got a boyfriend?" Hyewon asked as we broke the hug. I laughed and lightly hit her arm.
"He's not my boyfriend, we just happened to attend the same class." I casually answered. She suspiciously looked at me from head to toe and pulled me to another hug.
"I missed you! I haven't seen you for the whole break!" She blurted. I removed her arms from me and fixed my clothes.
"You didn't even go on a trip with us, Jeju and Busan trip was never the same without you." Yujin said and frowned.
"I had to work and help my parents with our ramen business my sister got a scholarship abroad and she's not around anymore that is why I had to give my parents extra help" I explained. Hyewon nodded with sympathy and patted my back.
"You're doing great, Cha Eun." She whispered. I chuckled as I saw Hana with our guy friend Billy.
They both approached us with excitement as we did a group hug. They were my high school friends. Hyewon and Hana was my friend since middle school while Yujin and Billy became a part of the circle in High school.
We love each other so much that we even planned to enter the same university and that brought us to Seoul National University but with different degree programs. Billy and I will be taking Business, Hana will be taking Pharmacy, Fine Arts for Yujin, and Liberal Studies for Hyewon. We are all in our freshmen year and it's our first day of school.
"Since that Cha Eun wasn't able to hang out with us during the break she should at least party with us tonight!" Billy said and wrapped his arms around my neck.
"Woah, after today's class party sounds great." Hyewon commented.
We were like this. We don't get contented with a meal in fast food restaurants because they all find it boring instead, attending nigh clubs, visiting pubs or bars is our way of bonding with each other. I learned all of that in my senior year because of them and I know that I wasn't in the right age to do that at that time but we will always find ways to make everything possible.
