Months had passed dad never talked to me after that night. He would always avoid me intentionally and it is too obvious for me. We don't really talk that much back then because he's busy and I'm also busy but this time, he doesn't want to talk to me for real. I will always try to make time to privately talk to him but I guess, dad already hated me.
"You don't have afternoon work anymore?" Hyewon asked. I nodded while sipping on my banana milk.
"You quitted your job?" Hana asked. I also nodded as an answer and faced them.
"I can go out with you guys after class for a week!" I excitedly said while giggling.
"For a week? Does that mean that you applied for another job?" I smiled and mouthed "yes"
I already left my job at the snack bar near JYP entertainment because practically, I found another job that can pay me with higher numbers. My sister's Russian friend, Dasha, wants me to teach their seven-year-old child Korean because they are planning to live here with her Korean husband for good.
They offered me a six-digit payment every month and that is enough to pay my college tuition every semester.
"We should start it now!" Yujin said enthusiastically. I pouted my lips and shook my head. Mark got his afternoon free and he said that he will pick me up from SNU today.
"You have a date?" Billy asked. I nodded and gave them an apologetic smile.
"But I can go with you guys tomorrow. I promise that we will have fun tomorrow." I said and raised my right arm as my sign of promise.
"We should also meet him to see if he's worth abandoning the beef party that we should have done with you." I chuckled and went to the school entrance where Mark is waiting.
"He looks good even in this point of view. I hope this time, your choice is right." Yujin commented and gave me a teasing smile.
I insolently smiled at myself as we approached Mark together. I called Mark and when he spun around he spread his arms and welcomed me in his warm embrace.
"Anyway, I want you to meet my friends, Hyewon, Hana, Yujin, and Billy." Mark bowed at them and my friends also did the same.
"I'm Mark, I heard so much about all of you from Euna." He said in a friendly manner.
"We didn't hear that much about you" Hyewon answered back and crossed her arms taunting Mark as she raised a brow at him. Hana elbowed her that made Mark chuckle.
I don't really talk about Mark with my friends because as I've said before, I want to keep everything private. Well, my friends don't ask about him anyway, all that they know is that we are doing well.
"I think... we should go now." I said and smiled while waving my hand at them. I held Mark's wrist and pulled him out of the campus. We rode the bus from SNU to Sadang station where we can ride the subway in exit 4.
Mark said that we're going to visit the largest library in the city, I've been there when I attended Cecilia Ahern's book signing event but Mark wants to see the place even though he doesn't read books.
"You don't have work, right?" I nodded as an answer while waiting for the train.
"What about your work at the Ramen House?"
"I'll help when the sunsets. I didn't tell my parents that I already resigned at the snack bar so can I use my afternoon as free time for myself, with my friends and at some time, with you." I answered. I'm not a good liar but they are not asking me about it anyway.
