I had two hours of vacant time before my next class which is why Bo Min and I decided to go and eat at the cafeteria.

"Our Economics professor told us to choose our partners for the case study that she wants us to do." Bo Min said as we went inside the elevator.

"We should be partners then." I casually answered. Billy isn't in the same class as me in that subject and Bomin is the only one that I am comfortable tagging along with in our class.

"Sure." He said and smiled which made his eyes disappear. When we got in the cafeteria, my eyes widened when I saw Mark eating with a guy on one of the tables in our cafeteria.

He's smiling from ear to ear while sharing comfortable conversations with the guy and it made me realize that maybe he's friends with him.

I haven't seen him for like a week. The last time we've seen each other is when he visited our restaurant with his friends last week. In the past weeks, he would always appear at the places that I work at and it makes me conscious about my looks because he always sees my gaunt working face!

"I'm going to have carbonara what about you?" I looked at Bo Min when he caught my attention. I composed myself and looked at the menu. I chose Jjampong and when I was about to tap my cafeteria card, Bo Min already tapped his card before I do.

"It's my treat." He said and pinched my cheeks. I arched a brow and playfully rolled my eyes. When we got our order, Bomin and I went to the table near the window and that is the table near Mark and his friend.

I can clearly see Mark from here and when our eyes met I tried to smile at him but it faded in an instant when he suddenly threw his eyes on the other side. I bit my lower lip and faced Bo Min instead. We talked about the case study and decided to do some brainstorming tomorrow in a coffee shop.

Mark and his friend stood up which made me look at them and I was hoping a little that he will at least throw me a glance but he just left. I just shrugged and focused on Bo Min's discussion.

We spent our vacant time like that before attending the next class and another one after that. Bo Min insisted to give me a ride to my work but then I saw Mark lounging on one of the benches under the tree near the office of international affairs.

"My... friend is... I think waiting for me. You can go ahead and I'll see you tomorrow." I said to Bo Min and waved my hand before approaching Mark in his usual comfortable outfit, an oversized hoodie, and sweatpants. His arms are crossed and his eyes are closed. He also has his earplugs on. It looks like he's enjoying his own company that is why I just carefully and silently sat beside him.

His facial features looked so young and peaceful, it's like bothering him at this moment will be a regrettable sin, I can even watch him closely like this for a lifetime. That is why I decided to just stare at him and when he opened his eyes and looked at me I felt like my breathing suddenly stopped. Our faces are just inches away from each other which made me freeze at that very moment as my foolish heart started to race stubbornly.

When I realize how serious the situation is, I quickly looked away and composed myself.

"I thought you were sleeping." I stiffly said.

"I was just listening to music." He answered and offered me the other side of his earplug. I nodded and plugged it into my ears. Justin Bieber songs were playing and I nodded while listening to them.

"Anyway, what are you doing here?" I asked and looked at him. He rested his back on the tree and pursed his lips.

"I visited a friend."
