A/N: I know I am very late and this might not be my best chapter but I still hope you enjoy it because I tried my best to update as soon as I can. I've just had a very busy study schedule with college exams (mocks) starting from Monday so I hope you understand. I adore you all for reading and sticking with this story, it means a lot.

ENJOY AND DON'T KILL ME! (and please excuse any typos, I didn't have time to recheck)

Katherine.

Before I can even inhale, Archer has grabbed his stuff and the door slams shut behind him. I stand in shock in my place, my whole being still tingling from the experience. Ian peeks from the cushion and when he notices no Archer in the room, he sits up straight and a frown covers up his whole face.

"Did you just kill Archie?"

Ten minutes later, Ian is tucked into his bed, his eyes still suspiciously surveying me as if he isn't totally sure about my assurance that Archer was alive. I am too occupied to say anything else as I go to my own room. My mind flashing back to the whole scene repeatedly. I wasn't one to dwell on kisses since I had had many make out moments but there is this lightness to this one. Like a good kind of chill yet this surprising spark that made breathing a bit harder than usual.

Snap out of it Katherine. This is bullshit, don't be such a little bitch.

I change out of my clothes, staring at myself in the mirror as I scrutinize my appearance, a scowl quickly making its way onto my face.

This was nothing. Don't think it is. Focus on what you are supposed to. Not some stupid guy.

I can feel my heart clench slightly but ignoring it, I fall asleep. When I wake up, I can feel my cheeks flaming as I recount the left behind images from my dream. Archer dressed as a construction worker, his body more defined and shirtless. Him having a sexy stubble and me feeling his breathe upon my cheeks.

Oh fuck, I sound like every other hormonal teen girl.

Well technically you are a hormonal teen girl.

Bullshit, I refuse to act like one.

Ignoring my appearance in the mirror, I quickly change and grab the money I had gotten yesterday for Angela. Ian is still fast asleep so planting a kiss on his forehead, I mumble in his ear to watch TV when he wakes up because I'll be back in a few. He nods in his sleepy state before turning away from me.

Sleep always has held an importance for this family.

As I walk out, I have the foreboding thought of how I have to go to Archer's house today at the back of my mind, I am hardcore ignoring it. I am pretty sure he doesn't want me there either so maybe I can compromise on one pinky promise.

Right?

When I get to the police station, the receptionist gives me a stink eye probably remembering the amount of times my mum and I have visited this station. I stick out my tongue in a disgusting manner at her before dropping a wink just to further mess with her. She gives me a wry smile in return.

Angela is quiet as we leave the station, glancing at me repeatedly. Finally feeling annoyed by her behavior, I growl at her to spit out what is it. But instead she just mumbles incoherently in reply. When we reach the house, I am glad to see Ian eating a peanut butter and Jelly Sandwich whilst entranced by the show on the television. Not saying one word to Angela, I walk straight upstairs, my ears not avoiding the exclamation of happiness from Ian at the sight of his mother. He is the only reason I am tolerating her.
